Our team learned of the lockdown in Darwin while en route to Groote Eylandt and have bunkered down at the lodge while awaiting a flight home. The team has swiftly pivoted with the news, preparing Groote Eylandt Aboriginal Trust to launch the unit with remote assistance from Team AIG. Stay tuned for photos of the launch coming Wednesday ... 03.01.2022 We had our Deckchair fundraiser on Sunday night and it was a total success! Ticket holders for the documentary In My Blood It Runs had plenty of opportunity to show their support through fundraising - which they did! Cakes, raffle tickets and tap donation points were everywhere thanks to our passionate organisers, and their hard work paid off because we are confident we've reached the $5000 goal. Woo hoo! Total funds raised are still being counted but when they are, 100% of ...the money raised will go directly into the project which supplies community laundries to Aboriginal communities in the Top end.
