24.01.2022 SELF CARE AT ITS FINEST My husband and I go to Cradle Mountain every year in Winter. Its special to us as he proposed to me here 9 years ago. We usually go for a few days and get one of our Mums to have our 2 kids for some Nanny time while we are away. Everyone enjoys the time so its a win/win and means I dont feel guilty for going either. ... Whilst at Cradle, we make the most of the Waldheim Alpine Spa and always book the private sanctuary. 23.01.2022 TOP 3 PRIORITIES So rather than a to do list, I create a top 3 priorities list every single day. I use to write out massive to do lists with a million and one things on them but it became overwhelming and I would feel disappointed in myself if I couldnt achieve all the tasks I set out for myself (which I couldnt as the list was crazy long, it would be impossible for anyone to tick off everything!).... Now I write down just my top 3 priorities for the day, the 3 things that are most urgent and really need to be done. This enables me to be more productive and spend my time on tasks that are more important, plus I dont feel overwhelmed by a huge list. I also feel very accomplished when I achieve my top 3 and often, I achieve more than my top 3 but it sure feels good when I tick off everything from my list each day. I encourage you to try some of my planning and scheduling tips, amend and adapt to suit yourself but you may just find they really help improve not just your day, week but quite possibly your life.

Today is a day to offer families a chance to share their stories and to help others know they are not alone. Its a day to reflect, remember and also offer hope. ... My son Lawson is our rainbow baby as we lost a baby at 16 weeks pregnant after having our daughter Shay. All babies are special of course, rainbow babies are those special babies as they bring so much light after such darkness. Sending love to all those who have experienced loss xxx



21.01.2022 MEET THE OLD RENAE Here is an idea of what a typical day looked like in my life before I invested in a coach myself almost 4 years ago. I would wake up and immediately look at my phone, scrolling away thinking to myself I dont want to get up!. Forced to get up as my kids would need me. Dragging myself out of bed and struggling the entire morning to get everyone dressed and ready for the day.... Then I would spend my entire day not really being focused or present on the one thing. It would leave me feeling so overwhelmed, unproductive and unaccomplished. Plus I would have so much guilt - guilt for not being able to keep up with the cleaning and washing, guilt for not spending enough time doing activities and fun things with the kids, guilt for wasting time through the day and just feeling like I wasnt able to keep on top of everything. This went on day in day out until I decide it was time to make a change and the only person who could change things was me! I stumbled across a life coach who was offering a program, much like the one I offer myself now, to help work through overcoming feeling overwhelmed. This was something I just knew I needed help with. Through working with a coach 1:1 I was able to really take the steps required to get myself on the path of feeling like I owned my days rather than them owning me. I remember I use to feel like there wasnt any other way, that all Mums struggle and that I just needed to get on with things. But I am here to tell you things CAN be different. 20.01.2022 I CURRENTLY HAVE 2 COACHES Why? You might ask ... well I personally couldnt imagine life without a coach. Having a coach who has experience, knowledge, tools and strategies to help me get where I want to be is invaluable. Sure I could figure out things on my own but it will take so much longer and likely it wont last. ... To see the change and difference a coach has made not only in my life but also my business is amazing. I am so grateful that I get to be that person for my clients as well. 20.01.2022 JOURNAL PROMPTS for reflecting on how you spend time in your day: What do you feel is valuable use of your time? Does your daily schedule show this?... What takes up most of your time? How do you feel about where majority of your focus is going on a daily basis? What can you do to have what you care about most be the forefront of your time? Having some clarity around how you spend your day will help you see where you may want to make some change.

19.01.2022 I DONT WANT TO PAMPER MYSELF This is what a client said to me when we spoke about self care in our coaching session. It surprised me as I dont see self care as pampering. She thought the term self care meant pampering and getting massages, facials, nails done etc and said thats not for her. My response was self care can mean so many different things. Yes it can infact mean pampering but also simply taking time out to have coffee with a friend or do some gardening, cookin...g, reading, even watching a TV series or movie basically its spending time doing anything that YOU like just yourself. Self care is a way in which you can pause and have a moment just for yourself, so that you feel happy and can create more balance in your busy life.

19.01.2022 NIGHT TIME ROUTINES Creating a night-time routine will allow you to be more productive and minimise feelings of stress and anxiousness. By establishing a night-time routine it also improves and streamlines your mornings too. Once you have a routine in place, it will also ensure you have a restful nights sleep and set you up for a great next day.... Without realising, you already have a night-time routine. There would be things you do each and every night that have become apart of your evening. You can adapt, add or change your routine to best suit yourself. You might find certain tasks suit you better to do of a morning or even through the day. You can customise your own routine to work best for you. 14.01.2022 FAMILY CALENDAR Introducing a family calendar into our home has been a game changer! Being a family of 4 with work commitments, running a business, school, daycare, appointments and activities to keep track of was overwhelming. So having a space that I could record all of our families schedules has been so so helpful. Plus, my hubby Lee can also see what is going on as well. ... I have also found our family calendar great at recording Lees work roster. He doesnt work a typical Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm type of job. So I can write in what days he is working, when he is on night shift etc to help me plan and organise what I need to accordingly. I purchased my family calendar from Tinyme

14.01.2022 DO YOU EVER FEEL LIKE YOU'RE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS A MUM? ... I know I definitely have, many times! Here are some things I've done that I've personally found have made a difference for me but also my clients too. 1. Decicate quality time with your child, even just 15 mins... At the end of each day I make sure I spend at least 15 mins with each of my kids. I chat to them and ask them what their top 3 favourite things were from their day. It gives me such a great insight into how their day was and opens up so many conversations. Sometimes we read books, play a little game or just chat. I look forward to this each day and I'm sure they do too! 2. Prioritise yourself Know I do talk about self care alot and I am a big advocate for it as I truly believe that by taking care of ourselves first as a person, means we can show up as the best Mum possible. If we haven't recharged our batteries how are we meant to run on Mum mode. So take time when and wherever you can. For some it might be 5 mins here or there, others may get the opportunity to have their partner or family/friends to look after their kids so they can have some more time. Or prehaps even taking time of an evening or in the morning while the kids are asleep. Then spend that time doing something YOU enjoy - nap, enjoy a cup of tea/coffee, read, Netflix, spend time outside etc. 3. Avoid multi-tasking This is a tough one, as Mums we tend to be the multi-tasking queens but it can become exhausting. But being more present and staying focused on one thing at a time can made a big difference. If you decide to implement one or all of these tips then please let me know how you go. 14.01.2022 My office space is my happy place This is where I go to do client calls, create things, meditate, journal, read and just be. I love this space as it's just for me.... You can create a little spot for yourself wherever you are. For example this is in the corner of our downstairs playroom as I don't have a spare room to use for my office. So I created one. You could use the corner of your bedroom or an area outside. Share with me below where your fav little place is for yourself? What do you do there?

13.01.2022 MAKING TIME FOR MOMENTS I do what I need to and leave the rest. This was difficult for me and took some adjustment to get use too. Ive always been someone who likes things done properly and never liked a half arsed effort so to speak.... But as a busy Mum trying to juggle work, my business, home life and more its just physically impossible. So now I do only what I need to and leave the rest. For example, I might do the laundry but leave the folding & putting away for another time and instead opt for playing a board game with the kids. Time is so precious and whilst we have responsibilities and things we need to do and achieve, we also need to make the most of our time and truly cherish the moments too.

12.01.2022 HOW I CREATE QUALITY TIME WITH MY KIDS As a busy Mum we can tend to have guilt over not spending enough quality time with our kids. This feeling can be gut wrenching, often of an evening laying in bed questioning how you spent your time through the day, wondering if you did enough. So here 3 ways in which I have created pockets of quality time with my two children:... - Each evening when I put the kids to bed I make sure I spend a good 10 minutes with each of them. We talk about their day, how they're feeling, maybe read a book or play a small game together, plus of course lots of kisses and cuddles. It's such a small amount of time but it is that connection time one on one that means the most to them and of course me too. - When we eat meals together, it is uninterrupted time with no tv on, no mobiles or devices. I also find as a handy tip, it means the kids eat more of their meals too! - Now the weather is warming up, we have been spending time outside after tea. This could be just playing in the yard, going for a short walk together as a family or coming to the beach like we have this evening. As you can see, quality time doesn't have to be big grand things or dedicating hours and hours. But creating small pockets of opportunity to spend quality time together as a family is always worth it.

12.01.2022 Do you often find yourself thinking I just cant do it all? Youre not alone if you do! Being a Mum trying to juggle it all is not easy at times. But its made so much harder when we place impossible standards on ourselves as well. We often expect too much of ourselves then beat ourselves up by not being able to reach this impossible standard. ... If this is you then adopting a new mentality of done is better than perfect may help. Being able to get something done without it being perfect and letting it be okay. Remind yourself its not the end of the world if the dishes dont get done! 10.01.2022 I STILL HAVE TIME FOR A CUPPA Its a busy morning in my house as its a work day for me in my part-time job. Work mornings involve getting myself ready, the kids, breakfast, brushing teeth and getting all 3 of us out the door. Hubby is usually at work by the time we get out the door so I run solo in the mornings. ... The key for a smooth morning for me is being organised the night before. I make the lunches, lay out the outfits including my own, have the breakfast items on the kitchen bench etc. This honestly makes the world of difference. I also set my alarm and wake up 30 mins before the kids. That way I have time to get myself showered, dressed, do some journaling all before they get up. Whilst the kids enjoy their breakfast, I sit and enjoy my cup of tea. I remember when rushed mornings use to be a regular in our house and I would start the day stressed and frustrated. If this is you, then I encourage you to set yourself up a morning routine.

Put simply a coach is someone to help guide and support you to achieve your goals and where you want to be. They work 1:1 with you to customise a plan personalised just for you and are there to hold your hand and help you every step of the way. ... My clients receive an hour video call with me either weekly or bi-weekly. 07.01.2022 MY MORNING ROUTINE Establishing a morning routine sets the tone for your day. Creating daily practices (that turn into habits), especially in the morning will help you feel less overwhelmed, more prepared and productive for your day ahead. In order to create a morning routine, it is important to make it as easy as possible. Keeping it simple will help you not only commit to it but also stick with it. ... Here is my morning routine: Wake up at 5:30am to a Spotify play list alarm Apply my doTERRA essential oils (it varies daily which I use but today was Jasmine) 5 min meditation Journal Review my calendar for the day Skin care routine - I use doTERRA facial scrub, then cleanser then I apply my Yarrow Pom and use my rose quartz gua sha (see photo) followed by an eye cream From here I generally spend some time on my business, study or just do something for me like reading. This sometimes doesn't happen, it depends on the day and when the kids wake up. Once they're awake, it's breakfast time, get dressed and ready for the day. What does your morning generally look like? 06.01.2022 CHANGE YOUR MINDSET Instead of thinking to yourself I dont want to ... clean the kitchen, do the washing, do the school run, cook tea etc think I GET TO clean the kitchen etc. Being grateful you get the opportunity to do whatever mandane task it is that youre not wanting to do. ... Changing your thoughts quite literally changes how you feel and when you can change how you feel, it changes your attitude, outlook and how you act as well. Very powerful

06.01.2022 HURRY UP! This was something I would say all the time and especially to my kids. Always rushing through life feeling too busy and constantly overwhelmed with my never ending to do lists. I look back at this and it makes me sad that I didnt make changes sooner. As I was rushing through life, never really fully enjoying each moment. ... Being in the present moment makes the world of difference. Rather than focusing on the future, just focusing on the right here, right now. When you spend your time rushing around and worrying about where you need to go, things you have to do or not having enough time, stop and notice whats right in front of you. Its the little moments that happen that you could be missing out on as your simply so caught up in hurrying.

02.01.2022 WHEN BUSINESS MEETS FRIENDSHIP Having my doTERRA business and my now coaching side has allowed me to connect and meet so many amazing people. 02.01.2022 MY DAUGHTERS GRATITUDE JOURNAL You may have heard me talk about having a gratitude journal before where I write out 3 things I am grateful for from my day each evening. But I have implemented this practice with my 7 year old daughter. Of a night I lay in bed with her and she reads me her home reader book from school. We then lay there together and talk about her day. ... Each night I ask her what are your 3 most favourite things about your day today? and she will tell me. I love this as not only is this a bonding experience but its also a way for me to really get insight into her day, as often she is at school and I am not there seeing how her day has been. Its amazing to here what she says. Once she tells me her 3 things, I then write them into a journal that I will give to her one day as a beautiful keepsake. I look forward to this time of day so much. Try it with your kids, I bet they will love it just as much as you will.
