White flowers occur in clusters, followed by pea sized berries which turn reddish brown when ripe. These leaves are used in curries, vegetable dishes, chutneys and pickles. 11.01.2022 Have you tried our amazing mushroom plant? It’s an attractive perennial with deep green leaves and a mushroom like flavour from the mountain forests of Papua New Guinea. The flavour varies amongst people as some can hardly taste it while others find it very strong. This mushroom flavour goes well with all green salad vegetables, cooking tomatoes, basil, oregano and garlic and stir fries.... Use fresh young leaves with salads and in sandwiches. This is our Thai Basil which is a half hardy annual with deep green foliage that has a spicy aniseed aroma which gives another layer of fragrance to lightly cooked Asian dishes. Just add prior to removal from heat. Prefers a well drained, sunny position in the garden or in large pots. Can also be kept on the sunny kitchen window sill for easy access.
