15.01.2022 I am so sorry if my last email (at 1am this morning sheesh) - offended anyone. I guess I shouldn't do so much when tired. The title of the email was meant to be "Amazing Savings for you, Cuteness Overload, Have a cuppa with us!" I was playing with the idea of mentioning things for Mothers Day and it accidentally got sent out with the title "Hey Mums - Have a cup of tea or a bath with us and get creative" So an email received 2 minutes after it was sent stated... "Im not a mum. Unsubscribed :( " I think since Covid19 lockdown, there hasn't been a day when I haven't been verbally attacked through this business. Sheesh who would think a Mum (me) running a soap business could annoy people so much. From viscous attacks all over my personal facebook page on price gouging when the cost of some supplies went up initially to delayed parcels and sometimes us sending incorrect items in parcel - Yes that is our tired (No staff) overworked error - oops! But we will always fix it. Ah well, drink tea (Probably Fruit Fantasy) and move on, let the haters hate and send them blessings as I can't do anything more. 09.01.2022 FOR THOSE THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS PRICES A customer wanted to purchase a hand painted soap for her childs birthday and spotted a lady who did absolutely amazing work, but she charged $10 a soap. The customer thought that the ladys price was way too high so she approached the artist and in quite a brusk fashion stated "I want to buy a floral soap from you, but I think you charge too much."... The lady was a little taken aback but replied, "Ok, how much do you think I should charge?" The customer replied I think you should charge $6 because the ingredients will cost this much, and the paint this much, and the wrapping this much. I even factored in the price of your label The final price the customer had calculated was a lot cheaper than the artist's original price, but she said "Ok, deal. You will get your soap in a week". The customer was very pleased with herself and cant resist telling all her friends what a fabulous deal she has negotiated and how smart she is, and that in a week she will have her gorgeous floral soap. A week later her parcel arrives in a lovely packaged box. She opens it and inside is 5 bags of ingredients, 2 pots of mica, a piece of shrink wrap and a label. Angrily she contacts the artist asking How could you do this to me? I asked you for a soap and you sent me some slices of soap, 2 micas, paint and a label!!!! The artist quietly replies "My dear, you got exactly what you paid for, you will have to work on the recipe, buy your own alcohol to paint with and the paintbrush (sable)........if you think there is something missing, then you will need to pay for it." Moral of the story, when you buy handmade you are not just buying the materials you are buying the artist's , time, effort, love and dedication that goes into making your pieces. I copied this from another post and edited it to suit my business......but thought it was very to the point.
