19.01.2022 So many first birthday's this last few months! It is so beautiful to see these babies turn 1 but most importantly, celebrate this milestone with the parents. At each of these sessions, I feel so blessed to watch many of you who I meet before you begin your parenting journey, transform into such strong, loving and totally devoted parents. It's no easy feat, that is for certain, yet it still is the most rewarding job in the entire world - big love to you all!

18.01.2022 Can’t stop, won’t stop, sharing the chronicles of motherhood

18.01.2022 One of the main reasons we are continuing our homeschool journey is for this. Being outside more, free to explore with minimal rules and adult input. Recently we had a huge thunderstorm and when it rains the very first thing my kids ask is to go and check out some waterholes. This week, we are not bound by the bell, but free to shuffle our days around, get out early and play and quieten down indoors for the hottest part of the day! It is so good for their little souls, and mine. And makes for a much happier, balanced household. Side note, yes they still argue - just not as much when they’re exploring the great outdoors.

16.01.2022 I saw a meme the other day that refers to this period of time between Christmas and New Years... where no-one knows what day it is, what we are supposed to be doing and chocolate and ham is our diets. Well, I am feeling all of that and felt the need to get in the office and share some of the beautiful shots I was lucky enough to end the year with. 02.01.2022 When Dylan left, so did our dishwasher. Sounds bad but it is what it is. It was one of his jobs. The girls do have a list of chores each but I feel I’ve been underestimating their ability. Recently we had a lightbulb moment and called them all in the kitchen. Eating and dumping their plates on the bench or in the sink had become a habit. One week of taking the time to show them how to wash, dry and put away and I can say they’re nailing it. What chores do your kids have?

01.01.2022 Are you feeling it? The busyness taking over. It's that time of year where we are supposed to look forward to slowing down and enjoying this season with the people we love most. However, the more people I talk to, I am finding that a lot of us are feeling tense. So much to prepare for, so many lists to write, so many things to organise for that one day. I urge you to try and slow down. I also need to heed my own advice. Take a moment to remember what this season means for yo...u and why it is important. What are you grateful for? So many of us are slogging it out through the entire year, so please, take a little time for you this Christmas. A little snippet of this family session, who, like so many of us, work hard. When I asked them why they wanted their photo's their answer was summed up like this..... "We have had such a busy year, we thought it would be so nice just to stop for one hour and be with each other. No phones, no 'to dos', just us." One hour..... it's not much but these memories will last forever
