21.01.2022 Our 2020 project was to build a chook yard. I am excited to say that it has now been completed We now have 3 chickens that will be spoilt with hugs and food scraps! What excitement these chickens have created! I'm looking forward to all the children meeting the chickens this week. Once again a big thank you to Wade and my father-in-law Michael for making another one of my dreams come true. These chickens are very lucky to have a beautiful home built just for them. To see the excitement on all the kiddies faces is very special and that's because of your hard work. Thank you! We hope to have eggs in a few weeks which will create even more excitement with all the craziness going on, let us know if you need eggs

18.01.2022 As I go into my last week of family day care for this year I want to truly thank each family for all your support! Things may get a little crazy at times but I really do appreciate all your support and patients!! It has been a wonderful past 10 months. I have learnt so much, and have grown within myself. Last night I had the pleasure of sharing the evening with all my families (except one and they were not forgotten) As I watched all the kids play together my heart filled wi...th happiness and pride! What a journey this year has been. I am amazed at how much each child has grown and I am looking forward to seeing what next year brings! I want to take this moment to share my appreciation for my beautiful girls Chloe and Amelia. It has been a big change for them this year. Not only do they have to share their backyard they also have to share me. Their patients and support is beyond words. They have created a special bond with each and every child and treat them like any other member of our family. All the kids look forward to hearing the school bell ring at the end of the day knowing they will see the girls soon! I have to admit that there are some days that I am counting down until 3:15 too Thanks girls Lastly and definitely not least, Wade! Without you there wouldn't be Renee's Rainbow Family Day Care. You pushed me to follow my dream when I kept doubting myself. You created a work place for me at home. You gave up your man cave and spot in our yard for a pool! You put up with me being tired and grumpy after a long day. Every day I am truly grateful to have you and appreciate everything you do. If anyone in Hewett is interested in starting Family Day Care I would be more than happy to answer any questions or point you in the right direction of where to start
10.01.2022 Wade and I have finished our new play area! I am soooo excited for next week when the kids can go crazy and have fun with this new area! Thank you Benita for donating the stepping stone logs. I can see lots of tea parties happening on the logs! Thanks to all the kids for your patience while we finished this project! A big thank you to Wade again for turning another one of my crazy ideas into reality! As much as you cringe every time I say 'Wade I was just thinking....' y...ou love it! You have a great skill in designing and creating. Thank you xx We have added a mud kitchen to create many mud pies (with sand) and cups of flower tea for Renee, logs to sit on and pretend we are camping and also added a 'Forever Giving Garden' for all the families to help themselves too as they come and go each day. We now have parsley, rosemary, basil, mint, passionfruit (when they grow) and flowers. See more
10.01.2022 Act for kids is an Australian charity that supports children that are or have been neglected or abused. It's an area that means a lot to me and to show my support I have bought a fundraiser pack of monster crayons. I have 14 packs to sell if any one is interested. The money I raise I will donate back to Act for Kids. The packs are $10 each and contain 4 monster crayons Please let me know if you are interested. Each pack sold will be greatly appreciated.
