22.01.2022 We dont need to do anything at all. Just allow yourself to be seated; let the sitting take place. If you dont strive to sit, relaxation will come. And you kno...w something? When there is relaxation, healing begins to take place. There is no healing without relaxation. Relaxation means doing nothing, not trying. - Thich Nhat Hanh

21.01.2022 SBS series, Medicine or Myth, takes a brief look at Reiki in Season 1 Episode 8. (at: 40.23- 48.00) I was delighted to hear the brilliant and respected neurosurgeon, Dr Charlie Teo speaking so highly of Reiki, of which he says he was very sceptical, but became an instant convert after having a treatment. He also speaks of energy, quantum physics and how he sees Reiki practice just being science in terms of effectiveness. Watch it on 'SBS on Demand', you'll need to 'sign up'/ 'log in'.

21.01.2022 Worried about the Coronavirus? Here is some balanced information and tips;applicable to avoiding and recovering from most viruses. https://ourhealth.directory/living-with-coronavirus/

20.01.2022 Wow! What a way to start your day.

20.01.2022 REIKI is a valuable adjunct for cancer patients. Reiki helps take the edge off things and helps improve my emotional wellbeing. It also allows me to reset and after medical treatment and get ready for the week ahead at work, continued Judi. Work done by Solaris and elsewhere has shown that massage, reflexology, reiki among others provide a 14 per cent reduction in side effects such as pain, fatigue and nausea with psychological scores improving by roughly eight per cent per session reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

17.01.2022 Snake season is already upon us. There is good info in this article which is written by a nurse educator.

17.01.2022 Love this so much

16.01.2022 This is a really lovely short video to describe Reiki and its' value. Just one notation: The singing bowl is not a part of Reiki practice, rather, an adjunct tool that some practitioners enjoy using.

14.01.2022 Fifth Reiki Principle Show gratitude to every living thing

13.01.2022 Good, basic stretches

12.01.2022 Calming the horses by playing the harp to them is great but read on to learn about this doctor's wonderful work as a harp therapist. Must hunt out my Peter Roberts CD, who is mentioned in the article -his music is beautiful and indeed, so calming.

12.01.2022 An elderly Chinese man had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other p...ot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the man bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the man one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house." The old man smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house." Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. So, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

11.01.2022 Whenever I can I like to listen to poscasts: ABC's 'All in the Mind' is probably my favourite. 'Look up and Connect' was brilliant. Dr Fiona Kerr, founder of NeuroTech Institute spoke on the Science of Human interaction. She drew attention to the efficiency of the human brain in connectivity and, although she works with technology as an interface with humans, she highlights the need to ensure we seek the best of both worlds. https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/allinthemind/

08.01.2022 Perth leading the way, with the opening of another complementary therapy support centre within a hospital for cancer patients.

08.01.2022 This cracked me up! Hope you enjoy too.

08.01.2022 How one small burn can create havoc for a massage practitioner! I can however, happily give Reiki treatments. Two appointments are available this Friday afternoon. Would love to see you!

07.01.2022 Believe In Yourself!

06.01.2022 Specifically, Clostridium difficicile -which 'already is one of the biggest health threats around around the world'. This bacteria has now split into two with the new species thriving on refined sugar, which it uses as fuel. "Hospitals struggling to treat infections should consider banning patients at high risk from eating foods high in certain refined sugars in a bid to starve the bug". That makes good sense! I'd like to see refined sugars banned hospital wide

02.01.2022 How did they do it? With care, respect, transparency and community participation. This is a totally refreshing article and an even more refreshing approach to state governance and public health. Enjoy!

02.01.2022 This is really interesting!

01.01.2022 Love the simplicity of this!

01.01.2022 Yes! I think so. Just 10 minutes a day to help kids cope. "More than 50 per cent of mental health conditions actually have their onset before the age of 12, so if we can get in early and support young children we can make a real difference to those stats," What do you think?
