30.04.2022 Baby Austin is feeling the weekend vibes while away camping with him Mum and Dad Never underestimate how handy a wetbag can be!! The perfect lightweight item to take camping - ready to be filled with all things wet, dirty, dusty or stinky! My little fam and I have travelled north to Queensland to visit Reuben’s grandparents (while we still can) but I have brought my material and supplies with me! So don’t hesitate to order if you are in need of a Wet Pouch and I will whip you one up from FNQ

24.04.2022 Time to pitch in and do our bit for the ocean we love so much @merewetherbeachclean is running a beach clean this Saturday, as large amounts of micro plastics have gathered and need disposing of ASAP. Everyone welcome! See below for details This Saturday! Merewether beachto Burwood (pictured) We will be set up (between blue door & Surfhouse on the sand) between 10-11.30am so whenever you can get there we can’t wait to see you!... Please remember to social distance with one another while enjoying a stroll along the shore. BYO gloves if you would like, I will provide hand sanitizer) There’s lots of micro plastics that need our attention. When finished please come back to our meeting spot to dispose of thoughtfully (general waste, recycle, reuse, soft plastic- there will be bins spaced out) Am missing my partner @alemendes.adam who has moved to crescent head, so would love all the help we can get! Beautiful capture by @krit_tomlinson - whose nostalgic prints are my fave

05.04.2022 It wouldn’t be a trip to the library on a rainy day without our Eco Wet Pouch Library books protected from any sneaky rain drops as well as post-lunch sticky fingers Available in two prints at the moment, check out our website above! @lakemaclibraries #wetbag #wetpouch #supportlocal #sustainabledesign #handmade #ecofriendly #reusable #newymums #babies #toddlers #allages

18.03.2022 Happy #worldoceansday everyone! Our all important ocean needs us to help protect it! It’s the reason I started Renewy Designs and the reason I’m determined to try and continue How gorgeous is this artwork from @michellefleurphoto?! I’m in love!! #protectourhome #protectouroceans

03.03.2022 Who out there, has been doing lots of #isobaking?! I sure have Muesli slice, banana bread, blueberry loaf...I’ve even learnt how to make sourdough bread! (Thanks @olivesandgreens ) But I just thought I’d share a little product that we’ve been using which has replaced the need for baking paper in our kitchen! Swipe across to take a look We switched to these @agreenaworld 3-in-1 wraps and they have been very handy! A reusable, sustainable replacement for an every d...ay item - that’s my jam We bought ours from @floraandfaunaau . . . . . . . #agreena #foodwrap #isobaking #reusable #sustainable #ecofriendly #cooking #floraandfaunaau @ Newcastle, New South Wales See more

09.02.2022 Loooooove this from @brenna_quinlan There have been some positives to come out of lockdown. Welfare rates have been raised in some countries, others have given out universal basic income. People are growing food and baking sourdough, and we're all wondering why attending meetings in person seemed preferable to chatting online in our pyjamas. Celebrities are clammering for attention as we ignore them in favour of our new heroes: health workers, cleaners, delivery driver...s and teachers. As lockdown is relaxed in many countries, there's talk of going back to normal. But what was really normal about the old way? Do we want to sit in rush hour traffic on our daily commute again? Do we need the skies to be crowded with aircraft? Does industry have to ramp up to the unsustainable levels it was operating at? Does GDP have to stay as the one and only measure of success? I'm keen for a world of less stuff and more quiet, of less work travel and more quality time with family. Covid has showed us what's really of value in our lives, and we don't have to give that up. Let's move toward a new normal, one that's better for the earth as well as for us. #coronakindness #lessisthenewmore

03.02.2022 So glad we got Reuben’s sandpit sorted before #iso started 6 weeks ago! If anyone is looking for an alternative to the usual plastic bucket and spade beach set - we love our set by Plasto. It’s a Finnish company who make Green toys! So cool! Here’s a little excerpt from their website: The plastic in this toy is produced from sugar cane that is 100 % renewable. This contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and carbon footprint, since the sugar cane binds more carbon dioxide when growing than is emitted when producing the plastic raw material from it (-2,78 CO2 eq/kg). So interesting! For the #newy locals - we got ours from @too_cool_for_school_kids at The Junction #plastotoys #sustainable #renewable #ecotoys #green #bucketandspade #sandpit #stayhome #newcastle

29.01.2022 This baby has decided to sort out his daytime naps (ie. sleep longer than one bloody sleep cycle!) and now this Mumma feels like she can take over the world!! Can anyone else relate?! #sleepregression *I strongly believe in jinx though so I’m touching all of the wood right now haha So I am looking forward to having more time to think, sew, share some eco ideas and more! I am definitely still hand-making my Eco Wet Pouches, so if you are looking to buy one please get in touch, or head to my website to order!

22.01.2022 Rolling into Monday, like water off a wetbag! Thought it might be useful to see a little vid of our Wet Pouch lining in action! As you can see the water rolls straight off The double layered fabric acts as the perfect barrier between your wet things and your backseat/handbag/beach cart/nappy bag/boot/pram whatever! Order through our website (or DM) if you would like to purchase. Local contactless pickup available! Print pictured above - Fruit Crush

12.01.2022 Has anyone noticed the animals seem very happy at the moment? With the world slowing down and taking pause, you just need to step outside to hear how stoked the birds are! Has anyone seen black cockatoos flying overhead since isolation began? What about all of the dragonflies buzzing about? We’ve seen a few snakes around our local area too! Let’s hope that after this current isolation period ends we can all keep some of these new ways of living and turn them into habits! Would love to hear any animal encounters you guys have had lately Image credit : @ttl__photography #isolation #happyanimals #blackcockatoo #dragonfly #snake #australiananimals #iso #planetearth #slowdown #pause #newhabits #bekindtotheearth #environment #sustainable

10.01.2022 How clever is this!! We are all about this type of #upcycling at Renewy Designs! We needed a tray for our Saturday morning brews , as we had too many things to hold - baby included and this is what we received, a repurposed almond milk container!! Thanks @thecrackedcupcafe! Love your work @ The Cracked Cup Cafe & Pizzeria

05.01.2022 Off to the library soon for Books and Babies! Don’t want the library books to get wet in the rain... better pop them in an Eco Wet Pouch #wetbag #somanyuses #librarybag #renewydesigns #localbiz #handmade #eco #sustainable #reusablebags #underthesea #whereisthegreensheep

05.01.2022 Some beautiful words and food for thought from @leilastead during these crazy times Stay safe everyone and don’t panic, everything will be ok x

03.01.2022 Happy Earth Day everyone Look, it’s been...an interesting year so far, to say the least... But one way to use some of this extra time in #iso could be to brainstorm some ideas of how you can make a difference to our planet! Big changes or small, every little bit counts. #earthday #earthday2020 #inspo #davidattenborough #dontwaste #sustainability #reduce #reuse #recycle #upcycle #makechange #Repost @grumpyturtlecreative Sir David dropping some words to live by in 2020. Living sustainably isn’t about going off grid and living in a yurt (but if that’s your jam I say you do you). To me, it’s about being aware of our impact, and doing what we can where and when we can.
