13.01.2022 Hi all, I’m very pleased and excited to announce the release of my new debut album Dear Life! These songs are very special to me and I look forward to finally sharing them with you. The album was recorded over a three year period and produced entirely by Paul Wiltshire (founder and CEO of Songtradr Inc). Paul is an exceptional Producer/Songwriter who has created music for some of the finest artists that came out of Australian Idol, including Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll and An...thony Callea. ‘Dear Life’, is a reflective memoir; a diary that inspires hope and courage, very appropriate in a COVID-19 stricken world and a calling out for Black-American equal rights. A collaborative journey of mostly original songs, this album combines themes of reckless ambition, moments of love and loss, tender ballads of leaving and returning home, high-energy pop breakouts and the opportunity to transport you back to the ideal world of ‘Planet X’, your final destination. 13.01.2022 ‘Shrinking Violets’ is a jaunty and rocking, though heartfelt trip into the mind of my Portland based writer Geoff Byrd. His music is predominantly full of melodic hooks and fuses mellow pop and rock influenced tunes. This piece is a touch darker but the premise of the song is quite the opposite. I wanted to bring a Celtic element to the musical arrangement and so I took it upon myself to hire a string quartet; the violin strings can be heard vividly in the B section. The music lyric video was also my idea... and so we ran with that concept and created this! I hope you enjoy ‘Shrinking Violets’, track number 10 off my album ‘Dear Life’...

12.01.2022 Realising the evil you have in you and that your conscience makes you a villain just as much as the hero, this track takes you through the motions of digging through the dirt, guilt and escape. ‘When I Fall from Grace’ is about guilt, self-doubt and poor choices, but it’s also about forgiveness, hence the line but the sun still shines on my face. It speaks about being honest with an assessment of your own poor choices yet still knowing there is hope going forward. The true ...brilliance of melody is when you are able to blend the mood of the lyric with the magic of the tonal pattern. You can literally feel the swing from being in the depths of despair with the darker vibe of the melody up to the positive feelings of when forgiveness is found. The key is blending the right melody with the emotion and feeling. Hopefully I’ve achieved this? 10.01.2022 The music genius behind my album ‘Dear Life’, my Producer Mr Paul Wiltshire... a man I have the utmost respect for. Not only is he one of the most talented Songwriters and Producers I’ve ever met, but he was also a pleasure to work with. Here we are inside his L.A. studio fine tuning the tracks and putting all the finishing touches to the mixes before release!

10.01.2022 ‘Dear Life’, the title track off my new album and subsequently the title of my album, is for the most part a reflective memoir of the past; a diary that inspires hope and courage. That being said, the immediate narrative I had in my mind when I pondered upon the concept of the catch phrase ‘Holding on for Dear Life’ was a chase scenario involving a crossbow and arrow. The scene setting for the shoot was held in Macclesfield/Victoria where a section of bushland was transformed... into a mystical forest. We see the protagonist (Jason) running away from his predator (Christina- the hooded woman). He struggles to reconnect with his broken past as amnesia has set in. The chase starts. The threat is alive. Christina takes aim a few times failing to strike, and it is not until the last arrow striking that Jason ultimately recognises her. It is only then that the flashes of a past life together finally come to fruition. The rest lies within your imagination.
