24.01.2022 Hello my lovelies, no video’s for a while due to some ridiculous no shoe, pandantic painter mistakes while siphoning and filling the pool after Reno! Videos to come! Not of the fall that fractured T5 unfortunately!! FYI freshly dried, but wet with hose, epoxy is Slippery AF. Just wanted to say that during the past 6 weeks of rest and (daunting timing as it occurred just after the acceptance into the Neis scheme) with my new business partner Jo Todd. I have some things to tel...l you all. Our new business is called The Ladies Lair (I think you can like from that link - I think. Whilst on my back and having the hardest time staying still ( anyone who knows me personally will get it) more and more has formed. The Ladies Lair is essentially a page and ( website very soon) thats whole basis is around the revival of the arts and crafts movement and motivating independent individuals. It’s a creative place, both online and locally (Whitsundays to start) that is predominantly (but not limited to ) Great Women. The ethos is similar to that of The men's shed but quite different. Renokate will be a service, like an arm of the business. We will crosslinking content sometimes, where relevant. Jo and I are very excited at the prospect of getting the good girls and guys together, and share the knowledge of how to survive in this absolutely ridiculous world. Any way, I probably lost you ages ago but come on over and like The Ladies Lair because sometimes Renokate type classes will go on there, and loads of other stuff you’ll be keen to see I’d say! Let’s work together and slowly you will see! Pool reno video as soon as I’m proud of the water in it! Scooping pools and not taking the hardcore painkillers are apparently NOT THE GO.... never in my life did I think I get in trouble for not having drugs and working!! But there you go!! A crazy world these days! POP across to The ladies Lair, we are going to be doing so much there! It’s sink or swim time for me, And believe me the pool is done! I choose SWIM ( after I sneakily clean the filter while no one is watching!! ) hope to see you there!RenoKate

08.01.2022 I just found this memory on Facebook from years and years ago! I did this mosaic while I recovered from a nasty incident that happened overseas. I remember my very dear old Dad saying to me, what is wrong with the women in this family?? Your mother gets perfectly good fabric, cuts it up and sews it back together... and you are smashing perfectly good tiles and mirror and sticking it back together!! It was extremely therapeutic. I remember that footy moron Sam Newman use to s...tick his head in to the hair salon where I did the mosaic and flirt with me while I was on the floor covered on glue! When I’d see him across the road at the cafe Italy on the bay I’d say hi, and he’d completely ignore me! Anyway I fell in love during that mosaic, but certainly not with that tosser Newman ! I taught mosaic classes for years after that. If anyone wants to learn, hit me up. If there is enough interest I’ll do it again. See more
