25.01.2022 Thanks Jen and Bec!
25.01.2022 Strategy is so important. As much as we all (me included) like to bank bash. The new bank levy (tax) has ripped $14Bn out of the share prices..... With our share portfolio's being so heavily laden with banks, this is going to hurt most investors.... So it looks like the investor is going to pay via increased banks fees. As well as being hit in the hip pocket via a decrease in wealth. Knee jerk reactions arent the right move, planning and strategy is required....
25.01.2022 The ATO may communicate with members who may be affected by the superannuation changes starting 1 July 2017. From now until June, members may receive a letter, email or SMS from the ATO outlining key changes to their super. This may include correspondence to members affected by: -changes to the superannuation non-concessional (after tax) contributions cap -the reduction of the concessional (pre-tax) contributions cap to $25,000 per annum... -the introduction of a transfer balance cap of $1.6 million for pension-phase accounts -total superannuation balance changes See more
24.01.2022 To all our valued SMSF clients, the ATO has granted SMSF's a little bit of breathing space to lodge 2017 returns. We would still like to see your records asap though. https://www.ato.gov.au//ATO-extends-due-date-for-2016-17-/

24.01.2022 Renouf & Partners, Proctor Accounting and Integral Insurance are teaming up in October for what we hope will be an annual golf fundraiser. (Details still to be confirmed) Ambrose Format. We would be looking for paying players, (golf and food included) Hole Sponsors, donors of Auction and or Raffle Items .... So who would like to have a few beers, have some fun and support some local charity? Great for business development and networking. Profit donated to a charity, which we may change each year. As we will have limited player numbers 78 and hole sponsors 18, we are looking for expressions of interest. (We have already 20+ committed) If you are interested in playing, donating, sponsoring or all of the above, please contact me for more details. I look forward to hearing from you.

22.01.2022 Fasten your seatbelt folks, they have tried to destabilize the Australian Property Market, now the share market.....do these clowns want a recession? Let's not try to talk ourselves into pneumonia from a cold. The market is a clever beast, those trying to effect the market......not so much.....

21.01.2022 Hi Folks, we are experiencing email issues today. If you get email bounce back please resend. Sorry for any inconvenience.
21.01.2022 That’s a wrap.. I’ve been busy working on something that has combined both passion and an unrealised calling and now she’s done. I’m am really proud of how th...is piece has come together and I absolutely love it but I also love my job working with Brumbies. So if you think you need this piece in your life, tomorrow morning from 9am until midnight Friday, I’ll running a silent auction to raise funds for Jen Renouf, Southern Brumbies Educating & Rehoming training facilities. As I’m sure you are mostly aware I run this as a business not a NFP (there are so many institutions out there that need your help) so all the $$ I can personally raise the better the chance I have to continue to rehome, and less eye ball rolling from my ever suffering husband - love you! Special thanks to Donna Crebbin -Pixs Pics- Photography for allowing me to use one of her beautiful photos of the late Paleface and his mob, who sadly perished in the 2019/2020 bushfires. And thank you to MINT by michelle for sharing her skill and knowledge to help get the piece done. Thanking you all in advance for your support. 21.01.2022 A little freshen up...thoughts?
20.01.2022 Merry Christmas. Please note: our office is closed from 21/12/2020 - 04/01/2021
20.01.2022 Last night was Budget Night, and what does it mean for most of us? In general terms here are some points to note: (these are my thoughts not advice) - Medicare Levy increasing by .5% from July 1 2019. For funding of the NDIS. - First Home Buyer have the option of saving via super for their first home deposit. Some potential tax savings for the first home owner, max amounts for a couple is $60k over 2 years. Not part of the policy, but is this a move to encourage regional e...xpansion? - 65+ aged people can sell downsize and contribute into super. Again there are caps and is it the right strategy? But again it serves for a couple of financial strategies for people contemplating retirement. - Changes to treatment of LRBA via SMSF, going to effect cap calculations moving forward? - Tougher rules for foreign investment into Real Estate. Looks like the old FIRB rules for developers. CGT for PPR removed and a vacancy charge for future (6 month or less occupied) foreign investment purchases. Ideally reducing demand, hence taking some pressure off the domestic housing market. - $20k small business write offs extended for another year. Trying to stimulate the economy at the lower end. - University Fees going up, effectively banking future tax payments. This is a hot bed...so I am not going to get on my soap box about this one. - Childcare rebates means tested, more pressure back at the coal face. - Marginal Tax Rates unchanged. - Property Investors, your property related travel expenses will be no longer tax deductible. There goes the WA miners coming to Melbourne for the GF and viewing their investment properties. - Property Investors substantial changes to depreciation, speak to your accountants about this one...... - Small company tax rate deduction ($10M aggregated turnover and below). - One off Energy assistance for some pension holders. There is heaps of other details, so if you have any questions please email me. We have a pile of briefing papers coming through today that I can share. As mentioned above, these are the outlines and some of my thoughts. If you want specific advice in relation to you personally, contact me directly and we can discuss. Remember that all these measures need to get approved by parliament before they are set in stone. That said, most of the time they do. In a nutshell, we need to......pay tax. The Government needs to balance the books and they are going to get us to pay....
19.01.2022 No shock here.... In an emergency meeting called weeks ahead of its usual date, the RBA has taken the unprecedented step of cutting rates to 0.25 per cent and committing to the purchase of government bonds in the secondary market a quantitative easing program.
19.01.2022 Continual pessimistic talk in the market.....now rates start to go up. Government and opposition, please someone show some leadership!
18.01.2022 Proud to support a great organisation and structure.
