25.01.2022 Stage 2 .. house reno Just as exciting. The main bathroom. In keeping with the ensuite theme we have gone with a similar look but a few changes to create a point of difference. We have again removed walls and moved doors to gain more room and allow the floor plan to better flow. Itsnthe little things that makenthis thatbbit more speacial. Small hanging light, strip lights, demister LED mirror to name a few. ... Similar colours and general fixtures as ensuite but why not ? How good does the white, timber and black look ? 24.01.2022 Certainly has been a big few weeks and so many exciting things happening. This bathroom completed by Sjaak is another example of a newly created space and his beautiful work. I love using this layout it works so well, makes a room feel bigger and allows a walk in shower. With so this layout proving popular we are now trying to come up with interesting tile layouts, colour combinations and textures in order to get unique and interesting results. ... The combination of grey, white and timber is always a winner. We love the Polytec prime oak. The addition of smaller grey tiles on the bath is a point of difference and the hint of grey veining in the stone tops adds a subtle touch. 24.01.2022 A little job with a difference. A little old house that needed some finishing and loving. Replaster to hide that awful ceiling. Patch up walls, paint and flooring. ... Nice little rest from a bathroom and wow what a difference. Just over 3 weeks and it looks like a new home. Oh we also did a laundry reno while we there pics to come Whisper white is our go to colour. Its crisp but warm but not too yellow and not grey or pink. We love it. 24.01.2022 Wow ! Even I forget until I look back at the before photos just what we actually started with. This was part of a 3 stage reno by Jake and what a beautiful job he and the boys have done. He has bought our vision to life in the most beautiful way possible.... Beautiful features and a.stunning new colour scheme and layout. Note the arch around the window made to match the vanity. A small thing with big effects. How good is black tapware. It has taken me a longtime to be a fan of black but it really does have an incredible effect. 24.01.2022 Another quick before and after. While this bathroom wasnt very old and looked not too bad it was a bit of a disaster. The shower was leaking (no waterproofing), the floor was laminatedbwood so swells when wet, all around the bath was timber walls providing another long term issue. The owner had recently bought this home and with a building inspection done was unware both bathrooms were in fact leaking until she moved in and discovered wet carpet in adjoining rooms. A complet...e disaster for her. A few months ago we renovated the ensuite due to the same issues so we have now bought both the bathroom and laundry in line with the look of the master suite and its does look amazing. . Early next year we will do the same to the kitchen and family and this home should then be able to be enjoyed for many many years to come. 23.01.2022 Bathroom reno with a touch of federation. This homes features the heritage green colour throughout. We wanted to keep that colour and little piece of tradition. We needed to create a more modern and practical space. We introduced a green feature tile to match the window and cornice and laid the tiles in a way that we use to do many years ago. The layout has been designed to include a walk in shower and remove the corner shower over bath. ... Floor tiles were also laid 2 tiles up the wall with a row of green then white 400x200 tiles around the top. Certainly a little different to what we are use to but it looks perfect with the rest of the home. Remember .. if you renovate an old home especially a hone with a theme you genetally dont wnat to renovate just one room too different. Very nice project carried out by Sjk Plumbing Handyman

23.01.2022 SKYLIGHTS ..Check these out. We have just started using these in some if our projects. Solar skylights. They make a huge difference are easy to install and best if all affordable. Better still they are also on a dimmer switch These are available through Wired One Electrical if you are looking for one

23.01.2022 Cute little bathroom this one. In a small space these corner showers just make a room feel so much bigger. With the door on an angle it allowed us to move the vanity making the entry spaciuous but also more appealing to look in at a neat little vanity and not a blank wall. ... 20.01.2022 Just WOW ! Part 1 .. more to come Every now and again I walk into a finished project that even blows me away. This project is one of those it is all class. I had the task of re designing this whole house. Giving it a whole new look. We moved walls we moved whole rooms to other locations. It was awesome. I needed to make it modern but classic but mostnof all make better use of space .. every space. ... Im going to unveil it room by room because there is so much change. This house was literally gutted. Im starting with the ensuite because I just love it ! Where to start. Stunning but simple tiles, oak vanity, beautiful demist mirrors, led strip lighting, black tapware and so on. Simple but ever so stylish and simply WOW. This is one of those projects that you just stand back and feel pretty proud of. As I unveil each area and the full scope of how the whole floor plan changed youll understand better why Im so excited this project looks so amazing. Itis huge what has taken place to this house. The builder Tim has been amazing and a pleasure to work with. HINT to just how big this change was ... the outside had to be rendered we changed and moved so many windows all in the aim of creating an open plan to maximize the amazing view Thanks again Burdens Bathrooms and Beaumont Tiles (this is simple Belga White) it looks amazing

20.01.2022 Jake Malady what a way for you to finish your year. This is another beautiful little ensuite. Small things can come in great packages. How stunning are these tiles. This time we went for a slim grey tile as our feature wall and it compliments the floor beautifully. A.classic vanity and traditional taps finish this ... Perfect for your last job. 20.01.2022 Bathroom before and after. Nice way to finish the week. Believe it or not this whole bathroom was designed around keeping a corner bath. More so keeping a BIG bath for an aching body and this was the best option. So we created a bath nook. Its smaller than before which allowed us to fit the walk in shower along side it. An inwall wall toilet kept the toilet less intrusive in our space and the wall at the bath meant no glass and a more cosy bath nook. ... This tradional looking home needed a new look but in keeping with the rest of the home we wanted to modernise it, brighten it but ensure it was still timeless and in the style of the rest of the house. The tiles are stunning. A 600x600 matt travertine look on floor with 2 feature walls in the gloss version and rest of the tiled area 600x300 white has this ensuite looking simple but stunning. Beautiful job by Rob and the rest of the crew. Thanks Beaumont Tiles looks amazing.

20.01.2022 One more box ticked and one more to go in this house with the second bathroom underway. Tiny ensuite but few little changes and its looking much more inviting now. We love these corner showers with an angled door they provide more options and space in tiny rooms. These 300mm grates we have found for these small bases allow for much bigger tiles and less cutting they look great and are very neat. These guys they can do anything. Another job well done by Rob Hefford whos one step closer to a very well deserved long break.

19.01.2022 Terrazzo look tiles and floor plan changes were the feature of this new bathroom. The new bathroom design makes this space look so much bigger. These corner baths are such a space saver and they look sleek. But the tiles are the feature. Floor and feature wall in a honed concrete look and brickbond white tiles certainly do look good. We moved the door and madenit a cavity slider this also makes the room appear bigger. Never underestimate the value of a moving a door in a ba...throom it can allow you to do so many more things. 18.01.2022 We have a few big celebrations in the crew. Firstly congratulations Jake and Claire Malady on the birth of their first beautiful baby boy. Another apprentice on the way very exciting news. I cant wait to meet him and sign him up Lastly happy 50th today to my work life partner in crime Rob Hefford. Wow Rob where has the last 8 years gone since we started. 18.01.2022 Appreciation post. These guys ! They are the most crucial part of the teams that brings my visions to light. Between them is 100 yrs of building experience. I have worked them all over 5 years. They amaze me every day. ... Over our journeys together they have taught me a lot. Along the way I know Ive taught them things to. Without these amazing guys and our newest crew member in Jake Malady we would not see some of this amazing little renos. I would not get that feeling of joy when I get text messages from clients after we finish a project telling me how much they love it and what and amazing crew I work with. 16.01.2022 Life style changing renos to this home. Kitchen, laundry and mudroom. This is what make renovating so much fun. Changing space and places. The old laundry was moved into what was the old back door area. The old laundry was levelled turned into a butlers pantry. The back window was changed to a door to allow access. ... Wow it certainly look and feels so mych more spacious and modern. Boys tidied up back toilet while we were there. What a beautiful result. Thanks to Rob Hefford and the boys for a job beautifully done.

16.01.2022 Whilst we still have a few jobs completed this week not ready for pics this one is a wonderful way to end our year. A stunning renovation. It started out a love job. Bit of design help for a kitchen. The fridge had leaked. Well so they thought. But turned out to be so much more. Long story short. Turned out the bath was the issue and cause damaged to bathroom and the whole living which was timber floorboards. The insurance came in and ripped the whole lot out. Kitchen, bat...hroom, plaster and skirts around whole floor and then pretty much walked away. This family was left in a mess living in a shed. Hence this home and family needed urgent help. The house has been literally ripped apart and left. So help we did. We had to make something happen and so here came a new Bathroom, kitchen, laundry. I don’t have before photos due to what happened but I have these stunning photos and no matter how it looked before it really doesnt matter as it now looks just gorgeous. We got help here from all the guys. Rob chipped in, Corey chipped in. We were desperate. Thanks so much guys. Sjaak did the whole bathroom and laundry in his usual beautiful manner and GIppsland Cabinets did the kitchen. Cathryn I hope you absolute love your "new' home. Its gorgeous. It was quite a work in progress and tested me in many ways trying to make this happen and pull it together so unexpectedly in such a turbulent year. But we did it. 15.01.2022 Does this sound like you The design and planning stage is the start and almost the most important part of every successful renovation. Projects dont just happen. They take time, knowledge and a great deal of communication and documentation. Then great teams to finish them. ... Put things in writing if you are a DIY renovator and do lots of research. This is the one very big mistake most renovators and trades make. Otherwise hire a Project Manager its so much easier Oh and by the way if you think that PM could be me you will need patience as my books are very full and we have long leadtimes. The guys have continued to work through these last challenging months and are continuing as normal at this stage. These guys/ our team are simply amazing and constantly inspire and motivate me everyday. Happy weekend and happy renovating

15.01.2022 Is this a dream bathroom or this just a dream full stop. Right now its both. With Melbourne going back into lockdown and the rest of us still banned from going anywhere we can only dream of such exotic and warm places. But we can also be grateful. Grateful we have a roof and food amd good health. How much of the world is worse off right now. This is a reminder that we need to be mindfull and respectful so we can all have freedom again. And when we do the first stop for many... of us will be somewhere warm and sunny. We are all remaining vigillant and we send positive thoughts to all those struggling in these strange times. Together we will get through this and how beautiful will it be out when we finally come out the other side. #staysafe

15.01.2022 ENSUITE RENOVATION Very simple but stylish before and after. Big change was the corner vanity and corner shaving cabinet. They are a great space saver along with converting the shower to an angled door which has give this the feel of space and better access to toilet. A timber feature wall and black tapware has this looking pretty nice.... A bit of a robe reno while we were there. Nice job by Jake and the boys

14.01.2022 BEFORE AND AFTER A nice way to finish our week. A kitchen renovation with one of our favourite clients. This is our 3rd house and renovation in a row in this small court. This was a huge honour for us and we dont take lightly the power of word of mouth. Let me say Rob is now king of this court and very highly loved and respected by each of these households. 3 beautiful renos in a row.... This kitchen reno is a beauty. We have opened it right up and with a lick of paint and some new vinyl planks floors we have now renovated every room in this house except the bedrooms. A reno doesnt have to break the bank. This reno was done to a budget but its going to make a huge difference to their living with the new open plan design and huge 1200 deep island. A whole new layout and a very new and beautiful look. 12.01.2022 Bit more fireplace inspiration. From an empty nothing wall and lounge space we created this simple but very striking detail. It adds so much character to that end of the home. A mix of texture with fireplace surround tiled, the cabinet spray painted, the top in stone and the left side alcoves plastered and made to suit the subwoofer and some kind of feature in the top. ... Whilst little addiditions like this so simple and easy they can take a lot of planning and costs add up very quickly. By time you add in the heater, cabinets, labour, plumber, sparky etc you can expect to outlay upto 15k for something like this. But its a nice bit of luxury

11.01.2022 Before and after kitchen. Simple but sweet reno. With the inclusion of an island bench and classic casino white cabinets this is so much more functional, modern and now has a space to sit at to admire the spectacular Gippsland views. Gone is timber kitchen and pine lined ceiling has been painted white to enhance the feeling of space and simply the amount of colour. 10.01.2022 UPDATE ... FULLY COMPLETE Fireplace ! Something a bit different for us. Looking at this it seems to simple. But with so any options and looks it can be over whelming. What was needed was something to give that big blank corner some character. Just like landscaping a back yard.... Well I think its been achieved in an amazing way. This whole fireplace fills that corner. With a 50mm slab of wood to go on the mantle and tv above who wouldnt want to sit and watch tv there at night. These jobs look simple and they are but they need to be right. They are also not cheap in the making but they are a very welcome asset in the home. This is perfect. Great team effort this one but beautiful stone work by Stone & Brick Federation

10.01.2022 Moving on to something BLUE . Once again a great example of changing spaces and utilzing space more efficiently. Redesigning and recreating is so much more fun. This was an old laundry toilet of a room. This room could be a small rumpus or lounge its off the entry. It was secided it would become the master bedroom and we could fit a small ensyite and robe into the old useless space. The laundry was already set up in the adjoining shed. ... An older farmhouse we wanted a traditional touch hence soft blue features and classic vanity. Very quaint is how I would describle this. We love it. Beaumont Tiles the blue tiles

08.01.2022 Before and after and this one is a ripper. A dash of colour, a whole new floor plan and too many features to list has this ensuite glowing. To enable this layout and walk in shower we moved the door and changed the design of the window. But its the green wall that makes this space POP. Still very neutral but with the addition of black tapware and a sleek custom timber look vanity it really has the wow factor. ... Note the round mirror .. is a recessed shaving cabinet for a designer look but a bit more storage. A great idea. But really its all about the green tiles. They are just stunning and reflect the colour surrounding the house on the outside without being overpowering. 07.01.2022 A truly beautiful ensuite renovation. . To say this is special is an under statement. This room is unrecognizable. It is up there as one of the most beautiful bathrooms we have done in terms of change of space. It has some unique features and is sooo big. From two big nothing rooms to one big open room with a bigger window to capture the amazing views I centred this design around a bath with a view and is is just that. ... Too many features to list but stunning wood and marble feature wall tiles from Beaumont Tiles certainly top the list. Thanks Burdens Bathrooms for all the plumbing fixtures. Lastly thanks to all the guys. Especially to our main man Rob Hefford who lead this job and as usual has done a stunning job. 07.01.2022 Few more things to wrap up but yesterday was finally a time to come together after an incredibly long and tough year with the most amazing, committed and professional group of guys I know. 06.01.2022 Xmas is getting closer but still a lot to do. Jobs still to finish and projects to be ordered ready for next year. Design stage never ends. Some exciting jobs still to showcase this year and some just as exciting ones to start next year. How beautiful is this kitchen going to be. I am however NO longer quoting or doing new site visits for this year. We will also be taking an extended break due to a long hard year. So all new enquiry will be tended to starting in February.

05.01.2022 Working from home ! Need somewhere to work. This was my dilemma too. With hubby also now working at home I needed him out of the house. The carport off the main garage was home to our gym. So we split it in 2 and lined it. Tiled it put in some blinds and now he and the boys have a room Im very jealous of. ... Oh and yes I gave them a heater too Ps ... for a designer Im pretty happy with my tiling efforts and pattern

But when little things like flowers turning up at your home at night occur it reminds me why I do this. Why we do this. Why we help people. We make dreams come true. 03.01.2022 Quick little laundry tidy up by Corey. Some new cabinets, stone top and a full refit to linen cupboard and this has a very new look. 02.01.2022 Another stunning before and after. This one once again by our favourite Dutchman Sjaak. Where do I start. ... We couldnt make too many changes to the layout so instead we have gone for interest in tiles and fixtures to get some interest. With the funny little corner in shower instead of hiding it we highlighted with a grey smaller brick tile. The idea has worked well it looks amazing. A stunning vanity and marble look stone top are a beautiful feature. Another project to be excited about. Thanks again Sjaak for your beautiful work

01.01.2022 Laundry renovation and miny makeover of powder room. Laundry was part of a much bigger renovation that included the kitchen. We actually moved the laundry to the very back corner of the house and into the old mudroom. That allowed the old laundry to become a butlers pantry. For the powder room it was a tidy up. New top, basin, toilet and most important painting of the old pine lining. Now its so much brighter and cuter. ... All part of a fabulous reno by Rob.

01.01.2022 Stage 3 house renovation The kitchen and fireplace areas. The design brief. Open spaces maximising the views Baw Baws rolling green hills. ... We moved the kitchen to allow a flowing kutchen dining lounge. Incorporated nen stacker doors for light, views and access to decks. The old entry became a butlers pantry. The old dining became the new entry point. Loads of changes. The fireplace wall needed some texture and dimension. We used a combination of tile, cabinetry, plaster snd stone. The end look is striking. The overall result a very simple, classic open floor plan with stunning kitchen, a designer fireplace and loads of little features that add a touch of class and character. 01.01.2022 After a long tiring year its nice to get this kind of industry recogonition. Three best rated base their ratings on feedback, all social media and google reviews, profiles, websites etc For the 3rd year in a row RR has received this status and its very humbling. With an average of over 50 design projects a year and with over 7 years as RR thats a lot of projects, experience and a lot of blood, sweat and some tears.... But making peoples dreams come true makes it all worth while. Working with the absolute best guys in the business makes it even more special.

01.01.2022 Before and after. From hallway to en-suite. This client needed a second bathroom. Initially their idea was to do an extention. Costs for this would obviously be much more drastic than a reno. So together we decided the old hallway that ran along side the master bedroom and was never used could be the ideal space to rejig. So with a smaller entry and new doorway to lounge and bedroom the the rest of the space was the perfect size for a neat little ensuite. The old bedroom do...or became the ensuite door. The space and the room works and looks perfect. Like its always been there. Some beautiful neutral features reflect the age amd style of the home which is a very old farmhouse.
