10.01.2022 Spring in the orchard sure is pretty!

08.01.2022 Mulching! Weeding! And morning tea! Short notice, but this Sunday morning (Dec 6) we will be having our first working bee since the pandemic struck. We have a nice new mulch pile to spread in the orchard and perhaps along the rail fringe too, and of course there are weeds to pull and some shrubs to prune. After an hour or so of mulching, we'll be having the Upfield Urban Forest's end of year celebratory morning tea. 9:30-10:30 for mulching, 10:30-11:30 for morning tea. Pleas...e bring: - A wheelbarrow if you have one - Fork/spade for mulch shovelling - Weeding tools - Secateurs - Something for morning tea (to be COVID safe it will be just BYO rather than sharing). And remember, social distancing etc is still required, even working outdoors, so bring your hand sanitiser and keep your distance from others. See more

There are 8 temporary public artworks on display between Batman and Gowrie stations. This is Michael Prior's kinetic sculpture work "Flos Movens" on display at Renown Street Community Orchard. Get out on your bikes or feets and check them all out!
