25.01.2022 Any land holder out there interested in recycling waste water using natural systems? We are hosting a workshop in conjunction with Local Land Services NSW on how you can design and implement your own, low cost, carbon sequestering, water recycling solution on November 12th of this year, running from 9:00-13:00. Tickets are available at: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing?eid=669395& The great thing about systems such as this, is that they deliver a range of solutions in one. They can treat wastewater of all forms, provide great ecological outcomes, farm considerable amounts of carbon and for those who are as into their composting as us, provide some great raw materials for a high quality compost. Come join us.

24.01.2022 We want to quickly let everyone know that we are now offering 10% off any purchases of $100 or more as well as free delivery anywhere in Australia. You can either hop on our online store (link in bio), send an email or give us a call, we are always up for a chat! We hope you are all safe and well and surrounded by the people you love. As you can imagine, things are slowing down here from a business stand point as we all retreat into our burrows. But we are finding plenty of ...things to do around the place. Whilst the human world has stopped, the natural world pushes on with less of its usual human impediments. We are shifting our focus from fruit to dirt as the days shorten, the mornings cool and the autumnal colours begin to reveal themselves. We are now sowing many of the seeds we have collected from around the traps over the last 6 months in the vineyard mid row- things like Russian Kale, Parsley, rocket, native grasses, and more. We are also at war with the black berries and cat heads that have taken advantage of the past 3 years of drought, hunched over with a pitch fork and sometimes a crowbar prying then from the ground and sowing more favourable seeds in their place. Our compost is almost ready now and it will soon be mixed with wood chips we have been hoarding to make mulch as well as being turned into compost teas to be sprayed all around our property. And finally, we continue tinkering away on our soon (but maybe never) to be completed cellar door. We may even be working on a Vermouth too. Part of what makes us human is our ability to adapt to situations, to observe changes in our surrounding environment and modify our actions in order to survive. There are plenty of individuals and businesses out there figuring out how to make the most of this tough situation and I encourage you, dedicated reader who has made it to get this far down my spiel to go and support each-other however reasonably possible. Life is fragile, it is something we must learn to protect and nourish whether human or in the natural world. I feel this crisis may be a timely reminder of just that. Much love, Sam

21.01.2022 Just planted our first Murnong in 'Tuberville. A small plot also containing Vanilla and Chocolate Lily, overlooking our new Grenache and Tempranillo plantings. From here, we will try to propagate and proliferate, around our property, these beautiful native flowers and ancient local foods. @ Renzaglia Wines

19.01.2022 This lovely autumn rain has brought an abundant crop of field mushrooms here in O'Connell. Haven't seen this many in years. Looking forward to a pot of mushroom soup for lunch.

19.01.2022 We sat down with Phoebe from Bathurst Visitor Information Centre recently to taste and discuss the wines in our Estate 6 pack. https://youtu.be/aUHO3mm1wr0 Featuring a range of current, unreleased and newly released wines from the Bella Luna and Mt. Panorama Estate vineyards, we have no doubt these wines will hold their own against any others from near and afar.... We hope you enjoy us waffling on about wine (for a change). 6 packs can be purchased from our website, here: https://renzagliawines.com.au//renzaglia-estate-wine-6-pa/

14.01.2022 Couldn't think of anywhere better to isolate. Lovely photo courtesy of Dr. Power. Note- check the areas to the left and right of the existing vineyard to be planted out in a matter of months. Some cause for hope. Note note- look at how remarkably different the soil types are, over nothing more than 100m of dirt.

10.01.2022 A great review from Ed, @wine_searcher coupled with a modest 95 points from James Halliday. The 2017 Mt. Panorama Estate Shiraz is a gooder. "Renzaglia Estate Shiraz, from O’Connell near Bathurst, is cool climate Shiraz gorgeousness, a very, very good wine. Elegant, ripe red and black cherries, blackberry, plum, velvety oak and spice on the nose. A confident wine. Balanced, medium bodied, concetrated dark fruit flavours of black cherry, blackberries, and plums with a slight ...spicy note of anise and vanilla, followed by fine gripping tannins on the close. I didn’t know Shiraz tasted this good from that side of the Mountains. It’s a cracker." Cheers Ed.

05.01.2022 We've delved into the cellar to put together another isolation 6 pack. This time with a little more of a nostalgic touch. We started farming Mt. Panorama Estate back in 2011/12 in conjunction with the Baxter Family and of course Ros, the custodian / Magpie Whisperer. Since then we have made a bunch of really exciting wines. This is a chance you will likely never get again, to try a few of these wines from the past decade. Many of which, there are only a handful of cases left.... 1 x 2014 MPE Chardonnay 1 x 2016 MPE Chardonnay 1 x 2018 MPE Chardonnay 1 x 2013 MPE Shiraz 1 x 2016 MPE Shiraz 1 x 2017 MPE Shiraz $220 Delivered https://renzagliawines.com.au/product/mpe-time-capsule/
