21.01.2022 RIPE K-Packers are rubber sleeves generally used to provide a sand tight seal between the outside diameter of the well screen and the inside diameter of the casing. They are typically used on the top of telescopic size screens in the water well, construction and environmental drilling industries. They can also be used to repair joints and have various other water well applications. The K Packer seal is glued to the outer diameter of the PVC screen or pipe. RIPE is dedicated to providing a high quality, cost effective Wireline Permeability Packer Testing solution to collect data at depths relevant to most geotechnical operations! Deployment and operation is simple. The wireline packer assembly is deployed down the drill rods until the bit seating sub lands on the drill rod bit. Wit...h the top seal assembly (tighthead) tightened, the inflatable packers are inflated with either nitrogen gas or with water. Water is then injected for a given length of time to test the packed off zone by monitoring flowrates at a diverse range of pressures, the supplied flowmeter is used to control the injection pressure. The Single packer system is used as drilling progresses to greater depths, testing between the packer and the bottom of the borehole.
