01.05.2022 I used to have a bathroom drawer full of skin-care samples. My toiletry bag was full of odd bits and pieces from different skin-care brands including La Prairie, Dermatologica, Jurlique, Sorbolene as well as bargains from Duty Free and Chemist Warehouse. Some were half-used and many had never been opened.... It was a pile of waste money and my skin wasn't getting better... In fact, it was getting worse. Older, dryer, more sensitive. I found I was piling on the foundation to try to get my skin to look good again. Then... A friend was promoting Rodan + Fields on her Facebook page and it kept coming through on my news feed. I sent her a private message saying "I need a repair kit Does it work?" And that's how I discovered Rodan + Fields. Next I'll tell you how it changed my life! #R2F

11.04.2022 Have you ever been asked to describe yourself in three words? I think of personal values as being our super powers. We all have weaknesses but if we focus on what we do and who we are at our best, then our growth and potential are exponential. I am... CURIOUS.... I love learning and I am very passionate about self-care and self-responsibility for life outcomes. I love to gather information, study it and share it. I am... ETHICAL. Honesty, integrity, truthfulness, loyalty, concern for others, respect for others and altruism; these are all values I hold very dear to my heart. I am very passionate about my family and maintaining my ethical values is very important to me; I always want to know where I stand in a situation. I am... ADAPTABLE. I'll happily sleep in a 5-star or underneath all of the stars. I'll have a go at anything, especially if my outfit and gear matches. I think I am easy to get along with. How would you describe yourself in three words? #R2F
26.03.2022 Some sage advice after a busy weekend #R2F
07.03.2022 The process of taking ‘my turn’ requires consistent and concerted effort. For most of my working life I have put the needs of others ahead of myself. I put my job first and myself second. Have you ever felt as though you had a deep driving need to do something or share a condition but had no idea how to go about it?... I have found that when you start to speak your truth the solution to your problem or the twists and turns for your forward journey will start to reveal itself. The answer to the dilemma often lies in serendipitous moments. As we speak our truth our journey to healing reveals itself in the most unlikely ways. #R2F

05.02.2022 My idea of Replenish to Flourish is for it to act as a self-regulator. Life can get pretty hectic and it is perfectly healthy to be busy, but if you are constantly in ‘output mode’ that’s when disorder can take over. So let's talk about multi-tasking.... Did you know that you aren’t actually multi-tasking; rather, switching quickly from one task to another? When you switch from task to task, day-in and day-out, you start to produce higher levels of cortisol. Over a long period of time this actually leads to exhaustion or adrenal fatigue. And, if you do it for too long, it can lead to anxiety and depression. So beware the multi-tasking myth; do one thing at a time and do it well. If you do live a hectic busy life remember to stop and refuel not just your body, but also your mind and your soul. Have a wonderful weekend! #R2F
27.01.2022 I created Replenish to Flourish because I believe there is so much information available regarding self-care, and I believe that learning to be as kind to yourself as you would be to someone else is key to putting the value in the concept of self-care. Have you ever felt as though your internal resources are running low? I have found that it is critical to remove yourself from the stressors of your life (even momentarily) and gain clarity in order to resupply your energy.... This process has to happen before you are completely depleted. I also created Replenish to Flourish because I really needed to create a motivational mantra for myself. I’ve struggled with varying degrees of depression and anxiety over the years and Replenish to Flourish came about because if you don’t replenish what you put out it is very challenging to help yourself or those around you to flourish. I needed something simple and effective as a reminder to look after myself. Not later... NOW! #R2F
23.01.2022 Welcome to Replenish to Flourish! My name is Barbie - I am a Director of Domestic Operations AKA a Stay-At-Home-Mum, and I also recently became a Rodan + Fields Independent Skincare Consultant. This is MY story ... I travelled for most of my early twenties but I met my American husband while he was in Melbourne on a post-college holiday. We are lucky enough to share a love of travel, hand-poured Margaritas and he also loves my cooking! I took a trip to California with him shortly after we met and just four months later - we were married! I then lived in California for the first seven years of our marriage. My last full-time, formal position was as an Event Coordinator for a large, national US company. This role taught me a lot about myself, and it also taught me that there is a limit as to much stress a person can handle. I was a bit of a rebel in the corporate world because I wore a pant suit to work - it was 1993 and it was written up on my personnel file. Riots, fires, earthquakes and gangs made the decision to move back to Australia very easy at the time. By the end of 1995 and after a grown-up 'Gap Year' of travelling, we settled in Melbourne. I've had a lifelong interest in the personal responsibility for your own health, as well as effective natural medicine and I began my studies as a naturopath at the beginning of 1996. Two children and many looooong nights of studying later, I graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Naturopathy). With my credentials and placement hours finished, I decided I would concentrate on being a Mum. My husband then started his own business and I became the company bookkeeper. The kinder and school years were very busy but my event and administration skills had the household running like clockwork. I had two very sporting and active kids, plus a husband who constantly booked messy adventures but I grew up camping so it was only natural to share the great outdoors and campfires with my kids. School’s out and now its my turn! I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with you. #R2F
