23.01.2022 Wayne Cameron's passing was unexpected to us all. Please join us for his funeral, Monday 11am @ Rockhampton Crematorium - East Chapell Cnr Richardson Rd and Yaamba Rd Rockhampton. Dress - Neat Casual. After the service, around 12 noon, we will be meeting at the North Rockhampton Bowls Club, Park Avenue, for the wake. Please do not bring or send flowers, as per Waynes request. ... Donations can be made to a charity Leukaemia Foundation with a reference - in loving memory of Wayne Cameron. Thank you and we hope to see you there to share stories of Wayne's life. Jenny, Robbie, Annest and Bob.. See more

21.01.2022 Due to loss of the head catcher, Reptrix Reptiles will not be available for snake catches until further notice. Information of reptiles and sales of Rodents will continue however. Sorry for the inconvenience. - Robbie

10.01.2022 Okay, once again the monster snake hoax is making the rounds.. It's a FAKE it's made out of concrete it was apparently put there to slow traffic and removed when it slowed several cars right of the road! This post first appeared in 2011 in Alstonville NSW and since then said snake has apparently been found in Darwin, Townsville, Cairns, Sydney, Brisbane, serval places in America and been photographed by several of our clients here in Rockhampton and Yeppoon. Well traveled Critter I must say. Seriously Snopes.com is a good place to start with any post like this: http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/kingbrown.asp By the way its not a king brown the closest snake to that color and body type would be a water python.

09.01.2022 In the wonderful world of snake catching you stay ahead of the curve by keeping up to date with latest research , yesterday I was visiting some regular sites i visit and came across some excellent new information. This page deals with our friend the Eastern Brown. I highly recommend reading it; http://australianmuseum.net.au/eastern-brown-snake They have lots of useful information on other snakes and reptiles too, not all of which are in Central Queensland.

07.01.2022 Okay while we're dealing with snake myths.. The snake eating a sausage.. !. snakes don't eat cooked meat it smells wrong.... 2 Snakes don't eat sausages (Yeah I tried it) 3. Snakes don't eat in that position they use their body/tail to push food into their mouth. 4. Snake would not sit still to have its picture taken that close. 5. Condition of the snakes hide suggests to me its just had a major beating. And is probably dead. 6. The snakes position is wrong, I've caught too many browns (Over 1000 by our records) And a brown just wouldn't sit like that. Okay this one isn't documented anywhere but the opinion of our catch team is FAKE totally posed picture of a dead snake.

06.01.2022 Thank you all for your patience during this difficult time with Reptrix Reptiles. We will be resuming catching on the 28th of April starting at midnight. We hope to continue on this business in memory of Wayne and will continue to try to be available 24/7. - Robbie
