25.01.2022 This is the lovely Sue Quartermain, our 2019 winner of the Volunteer of Year award category. Sue is a volunteer with RSPCA Victoria where she has become known as the rabbit expert. Sue is holding her beloved rescue cat, Stewie. Her Rescue Awards trophy sits on the table.

24.01.2022 This is Olaf the rescue rabbit, one of our 2019 finalists for the Advocate Peoples Rescue Story award category. In 2016, Rhiannon was a cadet in the South Australia police and she was sent out to rescue a rabbit abandoned in a car. That rabbit was Olaf and the rest we say is history. Our 2020 finalists will be announced on 16 September! RSPCA South Australia

Tim spent two and a half years volunteering full-time with PetRescue and the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home, before he was appointed CEO of Animal Welfare League NSW in 2011 and subsequently CEO of RSPCA South Australia from 2013 to 2017. Kristen is essentially saying...things happen in life and people mess up, "when they mess up, it’s our (rescue/shelter) job to help provide the support and resources, help them rehome their pet if it truly isn’t an appropriate fit, and in many cases, give them whatever we can to help make the human-animal relationship successful. We have to be a lot more forgiving of people’s mistakes and make the shelter (and rescue) a shame-free place where people can be truthful, vulnerable, and imperfect".
