23.01.2022 If you want to adopt a well socialised grey with significant time spent in a rescue home then ask us about our available hounds.

23.01.2022 Thankyou Kylie for helping on this beautiful walk today. Alex, Millie and Jess are preparing for their permanent pet homes and had a greyt walk around the lake edge encountering other dogs, seabirds in close proximity and lots of people. All part of their preparation with Rescued Greyhounds NSWCC to prepare them as good canine citizens and well rounded confident family members.

River & Scarlet have become just that, BEST MATES. They will put a smile on your dial & melt your heart with their antics. Both are looking for a forever family.

16.01.2022 I am working on a number of greys with the cats at present. Please email me [email protected] with relevant adoption information including hours away from home for work etc, other pets including indoor/ outdoor cats, children, previous greyhound experience, location etc. These greys are not ready for adoption for several weeks.

16.01.2022 Gorgeous Peanut chose her very own first toy at the pet shop yesterday morning & today is still refusing to let it out of her sight. This beautiful 5y/o girl is looking for someone very special to take her in & spoil her rotten.

16.01.2022 We go the extra distance with our rescue greys to prepare them for pet life. Lots of time, love, socialisation, home life, additional training when courses are available. Their preparation is never rushed which results in less likelihood of the greys becoming anxious when adopted. Adopters are given a helpful handout to assist them with their new grey and help is always just a phone call away.

15.01.2022 Eva is a stunning red brindle girl just waiting for her forever home. She is 5 yo and loves other greys and lots of attention. Eva is cat and small dog sociable. She is very smart and willing to please. Adoption inquiries by msg or 0439325746

14.01.2022 These 2 little cuties Sofi and Lara are greyt mates and living with my cats. They are ready for their forever home/s. So if you have a loving home, a soft lounge and a secure yard they would love to meet you. 0439325746

13.01.2022 Mindy and Peanut visited our local shopping centre today for their pet training and promoting pet greyhounds. Both ready for their own homes soon. Enquires welcome.

12.01.2022 We currently have 36 greys in care. We are self funded and meticulously prepare greys for a secure, safe and loved pet life. The greys live in our homes and are given lots of time to recover from their previous experiences. Many are quite mentally or physically compromised and often remain with RGNSWCC for more than a year. Sadly we dont have the resources to employ staff or IT assistance so our public exposure is limited which impacts on our already heavy load. As the founder of RGNSWCC I have spent seven years rescuing racing greyhounds and have saved over 600 greys in that period. If you are looking for a beautiful grey to adopt please consider ours. We have some special needs greys as well needing special people to adopt them.

11.01.2022 This beautiful girl is Kimberlie. She is 6 yo. She needs a special person or family who can further her development as a pet. She is extremely gentle and wants to give and receive love. She is small dog and cat safe. Born into the racing industry she was never named or raced. But her life before rescue was obviously one of basic deprivation and social isolation. I have had her in my care for over a year and she is starting to realise life can be good for her. But now I think her next period of healing requires her own family and home in a quiet environment with someone who understands recovering traumatised dogs. Please contact me if you think you can give Kimberlie a quiet, loving home. Lorraine 0439325746

11.01.2022 Susie and Kerry are young beautiful greys nearly ready for adoption, just getting some more exposure and experience. They are both small dog and cat sociable.

09.01.2022 Dude and Shaw are just beginning their transition to pet life. Follow their progress as their siblings from a previous litter, namely Bella, Diego, Pedro and Zorro are awesome family members now.

09.01.2022 This stunning big boy Alex was out socialising and shopping yesterday. He particularly loves Superpetz at Tuggerah because of the wonderful service. He did a bit of self service as well. Waiting for his furever home.

08.01.2022 River is still searching for his perfect family. This stunning gentleman is very well mannered, loves the water, adults & older children. He would be ideally placed in a family home who like to take a walk at the beach or lake. He has not been cat tested. Do you have a comfy couch to share? Contact Lorraine on 0439325746 or Carolyn 0403704753

08.01.2022 Kimberlie is a beautiful 6 yo girl who came into my care a year ago. She was extremely fearful. She has come such a long way and I now feel that she will benefit from being in her permanent home. She is still a nervous girl at times but very gentle and keen to give her love and trust. Her ideal adoption would be in an adult, quiet home with another gentle dog as a companion and role model. Kimberlie shows no interest in cats, having lived with mine for 12 months now.

08.01.2022 These 5 stunning greys River, Mindy, Scarlett, Peanut and (fawn) Zorro have been impeccably trained for pet life by Carolyn Derry. Today they walked around the lake in windy conditions and met other dogs and children. They were so well behaved. We were very proud of them. Adoption inquiries welcome as they are ready for their own homes.

07.01.2022 Someone now has a leash to match her collar

07.01.2022 This very handsome boy Joe has been preparing for pet life and learning to be around small dogs after his racing career ended. 06.01.2022 Pearl is a mature lady looking for a quiet retirement home, possibly even with a cat or two. If you think you can share your retirement with Pearl please contact Lorraine Ramsay at RGNSWCC.

06.01.2022 Zena is a one year old greyhound puppy. Available for adoption.

04.01.2022 These 2 beautiful boys need their own home/s. Unrelated but both have beautiful temperaments and are greyt friends. Dude and Stirling are both 5yo and would be so happy if they were adopted together or separately. Rescued Greyhounds NSWCC. Email [email protected]

04.01.2022 These times are hard for everyone. People are struggling to pay their rent and feed their family, so its understandable that inquiries to rescue groups are dro...pping off. For many people, now isnt a time to be adding a family member to their household. We get that, 100%. We know that many rescues have been overwhelmed with applications to foster (yay!), but underwhelmed with adoption applications. This is sad, but its beyond anyones control. The logistics of continuing with adoptions are becoming more difficult as we all increasing isolate ourselves. Adoption groups are taking extra measures to ensure their staff/volunteers safety through precautions such as outdoor meet and greets and photo/video-based "house checks". These are uncertain times. It is distressing to think of the greyhounds in kennels at their trainers at the moment, not "earning any money" for them, "draining" their trainers resources during a time of racetracks shutting down. We suspect that rescue groups will be inundated with dogs to add to their waiting list for foster homes. So if you are able, if you are fortunate enough to have a secure income, if you suddenly find yourself at home all day with little social contact, now could actually be the perfect time to adopt. Were sure all of us greyhound people can attest to the comfort of having a companion animal right now. This is not to say that people should rush into adoption simply to stave off any feelings of social isolation. As usual, it is a big decision that takes a lot of consideration. So if youve done that thinking and have decided that adding a furry family member is something youd like to do, then why not pick a dog who will not only love you unconditionally, but who will make you laugh every day. Pick a dog whose soft ears are scientifically proven (via my one-woman trial) to be an unfailing de-stressor. Pick a dog whose inherent desire to cuddle on the couch pairs perfectly with your self-isolation Netflix binges. Pick a dog who has been waiting their whole lives for their forever family. To satisfy all of the above, the only dog you need is a greyhound (or two, or three). Adopt a greyhound today. We promise you wont regret it. Thank you Arnie for modelling - @arniethegreyhound #greyhoundracing #adoptagreyhound #petsnotbets

03.01.2022 Who is in charge here?

02.01.2022 Heres a quick snippet of an interview with an extremely smart girl named Peanut. Peanut knows exactly what shes looking for & doesnt mind telling you. Filming an interview with this darling on my own isnt easy as she wants to be close (too close for the camera in my other hand). This lovely young lady was born 5/3/15. She loves play time, cuddles, lakeside strolls & a comfy bed. She likes you to use your manners when asking something of her, if you simply say come here you will mostly be ignored, but if you put a please on the end you will get a much better response. She can open some doors & is learning to whisper, as you can hear in the video. This is one very smart hound looking for a special someone to share her life with. If you think you may be a match please contact us.

01.01.2022 This is one of the many things we teach your new BEST PAL to cope with at Rescued Greyhounds NSW Central Coast.

01.01.2022 Miss Peanut is SUPER EXCITED this morning
