25.01.2022 A quick video in our welcome series highlighting how to get involved in our community (both now and going forward) in 3 quick steps.

21.01.2022 Rounding out the Rescue and Recovery Welcome series - How to Get Support! (Because this is the most important.) We have a short series of quick videos including What Recovery Projects we are currently working on, How to Get Involved, and, lastly, How to Get Support. Our next video update we will be sharing where our donations, dollars, and resources went in January and February 2020. Thank you for supporting our team while we, in turn, support others!

19.01.2022 We know where we'll be at 8:30 tonight! In light of the *many* 2020 events transpiring, we're taking on all supporting acts (big and small) that we can to do our part in shaping the global landscape during the ongoing times of crisis. If you can, join us! 1-hour lights free isn't much of an ask if you've got the right candles, company, and snacks on hand. Stay safe and well gang

18.01.2022 Our team, escaping from quarantine and getting back on the road. How is everyone? It's been awhile and we hope you have stayed as safe, sane, and well as possible given the circumstances. Never could we have guessed when we last released a video updating our change in plans due to Covid-19 would it have come to this! On a brighter note, and with the NSW regional and rural travel restrictions expected to ease come June 1, we're lining up to get back on the road and into the c...ommunities who still need support getting back on their feet. Looking to help out? Watch this space over the next few days as we announce projects, travel plans, and opportunities to get involved (in alignment with all Covid-19 restrictions and regulations) to continue our mission of supporting animal workers and organisations affected by natural disaster. What a year everyone! Look forward to seeing you on the road again.

18.01.2022 As a 100% Not-for-profit, community-based initiative, we have a registered ABN (Australian Business Number) and Registered Business Name. While our application for the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission is pending, we will have 1 (one!) GoFundMe page for financial donors. Each month, we share where our donations, resources, volunteers, and financial donations have been allocated for full transparency and accountability via social media and our Rescue and Res...ource Recovery newsletter. (You can sign up to the newsletter on our website to get immediate inbox access to our updates!) Financial contributions are used to make quick purchases of supplies, small-and-large scale purchase items unlikely to be donated, select fuel cards for transportation and driving support where needed (long-haul drives), and access to support services among others. Please stay tuned for another update as to where our contributions from January and February 2020 were allocated! https://www.gofundme.com/f/rescue-and-recovery-resource

17.01.2022 *Post on navigating disaster recovery work and the interests of public health and safety* Hi everyone! The last few days took us on a quick trip to VIC while we continue to coordinate people and logistics for all of our recovery and relief projects. Upon arrival, what at first seemed to be heightened concern regarding the Coronavirus in Melbourne as opposed to our NSW counterparts may be a progressing local and global reaction to continued developments about the pandemic as n...ew information is released. We want to ensure all of our community that we will continue to balance both recovery efforts and public safety so that we can support the best interests of both. We are absolutely committed to our recovery projects and getting people back up on their feet even during this further challenging time. Trying to navigate disaster recovery work during an international health crisis is extremely difficult and we want to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the most vulnerable in society, our volunteers, and those we are working to support. At this time, we will continue coordinating and executing our support projects, however, absolutely appreciate where some of the team may be unavailable to volunteer where it is in the best interests of their community and family. Similarly, we will continue to work with those we are supporting to further their projects unless otherwise requested or required for personal and community safety also knowing that access to some resources, supplies, and organisations may be more limited than usual in the coming weeks. As more information becomes available, we will navigate our recovery efforts to continue to be in line public health advice and requirements. As always, thank you for your support during this time Onward and up!

16.01.2022 PSA: We will be this many metres apart when back out on the road. Looking to join the Rescue and Recovery team? NSW travel restrictions into regional and rural areas are expected to ease from June 1. Interstate? Touch base with our team about your current location - we have plans for projects and communities affected by natural disaster all over and can *definitely* use some interstate support navigating the Covid-19 restrictions to ensure we can carry on. All information about helping out and donating on the RRR website!

15.01.2022 Wondering what we've been up to during our isolation time? Our team was founded in part as a result of the incredibly generous Canadian community coming together and supporting the Australian wildlife community with over 5000KGs (read that again) of donations during the 2019-20 bushfire crisis. Needless to say, we had more than one spare PPE to go around! This lot of Personal Protection Equipment was donated to the health care workers at St. Vincent's in Sydney - one of the k...ey hospitals handling Coronavirus cases in the area. Although our mandate will first and foremost be supporting animal workers and organisations affected by natural disaster, we like to step up where we can and support those in need when able. (And let's just ay we *certainly* weren't shy for stock ...) As for our other donations, we'll be getting back on the bandwagon and back on the road in June supporting our projects and communities and information donors where their resources have gone. (As NSW Covid-19 restrictions continue to ease.) Interested in helping out? Jump on over to our website to see how you can be a Rescue and Recovery team member (from either near or far) today!

15.01.2022 *Important update* for our community: if you have the time (haha) we felt the need to release this as a necessary response to the changing landscape, how we are intending to safely carry on with our relief and recovery projects, how you can still be involved (if able), and to remind those in need - that we are still here and your needs are important! A long-form video - and not the feel-good 'Where Our Donations Have Gone' vid we wanted to share next - but *very* necessary.... Thank you for sticking with us, thank you for your patience, and, above all, thank you for being kind to one another during the summer fire crisis and now the Covid-19 pandemic. Keep an eye on this page - we're determined to stay a source of positivity (even if that means ever-changing) among the chaos and keep doing what we're doing out in the world! RRR Woops! We'd like to add a *HUGE* commendation to our counterparts with Sydney Wildlife and NSW Wildlife Council who we have been in discussion with regarding the safe and sustainable rebuild and repair projects around the state. We will continue to work together and coordinate for (hopefully) several weeks from now when more certainty is had among the local and global communities. Thanks teams - we can do it!

14.01.2022 UPDATE: Weve got our quarantine hats on! While we wanted to share a good news update as our next video, times have changed for us all. Please check out our latest video (pinned above!) to learn how were navigating relief and recovery projects during the Covid-19 pandemic. Next, hang tight! Well be finishing contacting each person, team, or group today to confirm how well be moving forward with their project or supplies so that it is in the best interests of our recipie...nts, communities, volunteers, and public health. (What a balancing act!) Thanks team - onward and up! (But also - if you can - stay inside.) @rescue_recovery_resource

(It involves: driving, building, planning, calling, counting, lifting, connecting, dodging flash floods, and more.) Want to help? Any and all financial donations (also super important!) will be shared monthly to confirm where your dollars and our efforts have gone.

12.01.2022 These emojis are the best and most alive things weve seen all day! Due to return flights to NSW being secured, we are now working inside our homes for several days to keep everyones best health in mind. Unfortunately, the local power company decided to move ahead with planned works and our home base neighbourhood is now limited to no electricity, no internet, no cooktops, no phone chargers, and limited 4G data.... But on the bright side! This requires we spend our offline time planning and creating a schedule (by pen and paper!) for our recovery projects. We hope to be back in a few hours with an official update and how were moving recovery efforts forward - and will do so once our phones can be charged! Keep sane, stay safe, and keep in mind we havent forgotten about you! Be back online ASAP, wonderful community

09.01.2022 A quick list of *some* of the recovery projects we're working on after the Australian 2019-20 bushfire crisis and floods. Looking to help out? All volunteer skills are welcome and can be registered on our website *now*. We have one active GoFundMe campaign to purchase select items where needed and will share each month where our donations, people, dollars, and resources have gone.

08.01.2022 One of our volunteers *really* giving it everything hes got! Disclaimer: while not *absolutely* required, we encourage the use of clothes on our projects. Brianna of Rescue and Recovery also notes the need to work on her skills of observation.

07.01.2022 While were reconfiguring our next moves (again!), remember: dont be like Mitch and MJ.

05.01.2022 With travel restrictions within NSW expected to ease tomorrow, will you be back out on the road? Pictured: our isolation driving time transporting much needed nesting boxes to wildlife rehabilitation and conservationists around the state! We're also on the lookout for individuals, friends, and family who travel around the state (and at times, interstate! When allowed.) to get these beautiful homes transported to their final destination. Will you be back on the road soon? We h...ave boxes ready to be transported (and more waiting to be built!) Wondering how you can help? head over to our website and check out the 'How to Help' page. P.S. Ever seen a nesting box pile? Now you have! Stack 'em high and lay 'em wide.

04.01.2022 A stunning representation of wildlife carers, the level of work put in from Janine and her team, and an outlook on the loss of natural bushland and animals. Amazing work Shoalhaven Bat Clinic!

03.01.2022 Don't double take - this is *not* a throw back to February Air Canada cargo planes landing. Our team was connected with the St George Veterinary Clinic team who had collected and donated (of their own accord)this jaw-dropping 1000KG shipment of veterinary medical, support, and soft good supplies to Australia during the bushfire crisis. With the donation shipment received at the tail-end of the worst of it (just before the Coronavirus shutdown), Dr. Egan's donation missed being picked up from the Sydney airport - so was later redirected our way! Pictured is one of the unfailingly helpful Front of House team at our warehouse helping with this May delivery. We've definitely got a few days of sorting and allocating on our hands ahead - fortunately, just in time for the roads to reopen! See you out in the field, team.

02.01.2022 Wondering how the joey pouches are used? The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs showing us how its done!
