Make sure you have a spare pre-configured router and know how to use your phone if the Internet at home or office goes down. Protect the equipment with the surge protection power board and the battery backup. 2. Look after elderly people. Make sure to teach them how to use Skype or Viber using the smart phone. The mobile is ideal for them to use at this point in time, not the computer 3.... Be mindful and dont panic. Online deals that are out there may not be legit. We had some people purchasing toilet paper and other necessary items and being burnt. Not to mention, the scams are on the rise via different media including, but not limited to emails & text messages. 4. Have the backup and virus protection in place. Based on our reporting tools, the computer usage has increased by 278% over the past week. Meaning people spend a lot of time online and are exposed more to cyber threats. 5. We are expecting shortages for all or most computer parts and laptops. However, we do have stock of most of the parts and accept laptops as trade in.
