25.01.2022 Ever wanted a pet bird? Here's a glimpse into a day inside Rescue Wing. If you work a desk job like I do, the best you can hope for is missing keyboard parts; and keys stuck down with bird poop. Love them to pieces (and they will love everything you own to literal pieces) Make sure you provide plenty of exercise and toys if you want to protect your belongings.... Also, expect to share your meals ;)

16.01.2022 A beautiful image of a Boy bonding with his baby Cockatoo. A lovely young family gave our latest Baby Sulphur Crested Cockatoo a forever home in Bendigo. The young bird is just 14 Weeks of age, with many happy years ahead of them both, these two youngsters will have a lifelong friendship, that's for sure!

13.01.2022 ADOPTED!!!!! We have two cheeky Kakarikis' available for adoption. They live up to their reputation as curios, energetic and entertaining parrots. These two "trouble-makers" are aviary birds, however are friendly and will hand-feed if you're patient enough ;) Anyone interested in giving these guys a lovely home, message Rescue Wing. Thank you!

11.01.2022 ADOPTED! 'Pip' is a 10 Year old Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. He's "in limbo", a term we use for parrots who are not wild, but not quite tame either. Pip needs someone who understands that trust and friendship takes many months to form. He has the potential to be a wonderful pet if you put the time into him.... He's used to dogs, cats and people, and needs an indoor setting with someone who doesn't mind his big squark!

09.01.2022 A grin from ear to ear! A young family adopted our cheeky Eclectus parrot, Ruby; this tame, friendly girl had been re-homed multiple times and had a pretty hard start in life. We're so proud to see her settle in so well with her new forever family.

06.01.2022 Everybody meet sweetheart Bubba, the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. This 2 year old girl is very tame, kind natured and can say quite a few words! She loves being out of her cage and needs to be the center of attention. Spunky, engaging, gentle and absolutely lovable. She's not a bad dancer either ;)

05.01.2022 UPDATE: ADOPTED! Do you have room for 1 more? Everybody meet Bizzy, a 3 year old Pineapple Conure hen. Bizzy is an aviary bird and not accustomed to being handled. She is a very inquisitive, curious little girl who could do with a friend or two. She loves chatting to the wild Lorikeets that fly overhead.... Healthy, spoilt and ready to go!

04.01.2022 Update: ADOPTED! ------------------------------------------------------------- Meet Buddy, a Short Billed Eastern Corella. I finished rearing Buddy, trained him and he's now ready to find his forever loving him. Buddy steps-up and comes when called. ... Raised around my flock, Buddy is great with other birds. He requires a very large cage, toys and a varied diet of fresh fruits & veges to keep him happy, healthy and boredom in check. Not recommended for small children, as Buddy requires experienced handling, and if frightened, can deliver a serious bite. Corellas can live to be 60-80 Yrs old, so please think hard before deciding to adopt Buddy, he is a life-long commitment. If you want a companion pet and snuggle buddy, 'Buddy' is waiting for you :)
