23.01.2022 As you would be aware, the Victorian Government yesterday made a series of significant announcements about the introduction of new measures across metropolitan Melbourne to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). These include announcements about a change to arrangements for schools at the start of Term 3. The new arrangements for schools are as follows:... 1. There will be five pupil-free days from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July for all students. 2. Teachers and staff from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July will attend on site to: prepare for a possible move to remote and flexible learning from Monday 20 July; Big Child care will provide a holiday program for parents/carers who cannot work from home. If you are working from home you need to keep your children at home. We are waiting for more advice from the Victorian Government as to whether we will return to remote learning. We will contact parents/carers as soon as we know more information. Please contact us via the school email or via the school messenger if you need urgent assistance. This is a difficult time for everyone. Please let us know if you are in distress and we will try to connect you to services to help. In the meantime stay safe.

The CSEF system will open again for new applications from Monday 5 October, with the submission date extended to Friday 27 November.... New changes to the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) will apply for the rest of 2020 to provide more support to families in need. 17.01.2022 It was an interesting and different return to the REPS Taekwondo program this week. Each child had a safe distance area (2 mats) . The noodles and other equipment were not shared .Children sanitised before entry and when leaving the hall. All equipment was cleaned and disinfected after each class. We did our drills , fitness and focus training inside . Poomsae and no contact sparring was practiced outside on the basket ball courts. Different but fun!! It was great to see the children face to face. Mrs Petrovski

14.01.2022 WE ARE RETURNING TO REMOTE LEARNING Starting 20th JULY Keeping kids home from school was a vital part of slowing the spread of coronavirus before, and it will be vital to our efforts again. Dan Andrews (Premier) As you may have already heard this morning, Preps-year 6 return to remote learning for the beginning of TERM 3 ... All school staff will take this next week to plan for remote learning to begin on Monday 20th July. We will notify you about the arrangements and changes that will need to occur to make this as smooth and manageable as possible for students and parents alike. We will however be strictly following department guidelines including new onsite supervision arrangements. The current advice is that if you are working from home, you must keep your children at home. More details will follow as they come to hand. As a community we are all concerned about the effects this pandemic is having on our children. It is a difficult situation for all but we know we can get through it together. To help our kids work though any mental health challenges they face due to the coronavirus pandemic, Term 3 will have a greater emphasis and range of wellbeing resources for students and families. We have attached an online survey for anyone to list their concerns or provide considerations as we move into this next phase together. Stay Safe, Stay Home and Stay Positive! 10.01.2022 Dear parents, carers, students and staff Earlier today, the Victorian Government announced that, on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, regional and rural Victoria will move to Stage 3 restrictions and metropolitan Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Whilst it is incredibly difficult for all, our team is committed to making sure that we are safe and everyone is able to access remote learning. The staff have w...orked hard to make sure that the children remain connected to each other and the teacher. As always I am incredibly proud of our committed staff. I am so impressed on how many students are engaging in remote learning this term and how well the parents are supporting them. The changes to schools operations will come into effect from Wednesday 5 August, following a student free day on Tuesday 4 August, and are likely to apply until the end of Term 3. As outlined by the Chief Health Officer these steps are critical measures to reduce the movement of students and families across the state. There are implications for our school, and for families in our school community. A summary of what the changes mean for schools is below. PREP TO YEAR 6 Prep to Year 6 students will continue with remote and flexible learning. The criteria for students that can attend on-site has changed as follows: o children whose parents are permitted workers. The Victorian Government will provide further advice about this over the coming days o vulnerable children in out of home care, children known to child protection and other agencies o children with a disability who also fit one of the above two categories. I will call each family on Monday who have been attending onsite to ascertain they fit into any of the above categories. TIMELINE Monday 3 August will be a normal day of school under current arrangements, with students attending on site learning asked to take all their necessary learning materials home. Tuesday 4 August will be a student-free day across Victoria to enable teachers, especially in rural and regional Victoria, to prepare for Stage 4 flexible and remote learning. Wednesday 5 August will be the first day of new arrangements for schools across Victoria I will provide an update soon about arrangements for remote and flexible learning at our school. Thank you for your understanding and support. James Cumming

06.01.2022 In term 1, Parents and friends fun and fitness class began with a walk around the school. We gave our warm up a purpose and cleaned up the rubbish around our school whilst we chatted and walked. On the weekend, when I went for a walk with Mr Petrovski I saw a wonderful family walking and picking up rubbish. Kids had scooters and garbage tongs . The parents carried the garbage bags. The children were having fun finding rubbish on their walk. Running back and forth to the garbage bags. Just like our REPS fitness group they were being active and caring for our environment. Maybe, our community can give this a go. All you need is a set of tongs and a garbage bag/bucket . Keep Active Keep Safe
