13.01.2022 We can’t wait to welcome you back on the 23rd November. Rigani restaurant will reopen on the 24th November, please ensure you ring and book a table. Due to COVID-19 restrictions all members draws and entertainment will be suspended until further notice.... With safety requirements now in place, we will be taking extra precautions to keep our members, visitors and staff safe. Please help by keeping your fitted face mask on when not eating or drinking. We will actively monitor developments and health recommendations regarding the outbreak and adjust our operations accordingly.... Reservoir RSL strongly supports the Governments’ advice regarding social distancing. The sanitisation of all surfaces in all areas of the club is a priority and fastidiously maintained. At the present time we will continue with our regular hours of operation. 04.01.2022 The landing of Australian and New Zealand forces on Gallipoli on 25th April 1915 was expected to strike a decisive blow which would knock Turkey out of the war ...and open the Dardanelles to allied shipping. Unfortunately for the ANZACS landing on the pebbled beaches on the Aegean Sea, the Turkish defenders offered fierce resistance resulting in 26,111 Australian casualties, including 8,141 deaths. After eight months of fierce fighting, the Gallipoli Campaign came to an end with the successful eventuation of ANZAC troops between 1920 December. Now 105 years since the ANZAC landings on Gallipoli, the Dawn Service has continued to maintain its poignance for generations of Australian and New Zealand service personnel and the two nations as a whole.
