12.01.2022 Client Profile: Meet Rhonda, Andrea and Louise. These girls have been with me since day one! Before we met they would train from an online app. With good intentions and a lack of gym spaces that they felt comfortable in, they would meet up once or twice a week to follow the Nike B*tch app (in their words) instructional workouts. These online workouts would often be a half arsed attempt at raising their heart rate that would usually finish up with more of a chat than a work...out and maybe a glass of wine to follow (cheers to that ladies) After hearing about me through a family member who worked at a cafe that I would frequent, we began training from Louise’s home once a week just to get started. We did these workouts outside rain, hail or shine. 4 months later I opened my personal training space with very limited equipment at the time. These ladies would drive all the way from Shoreham just to train with me and increased their sessions to twice a week. Throughout their time with me they have all become stronger, fitter and slowed down the ageing process dramatically. They do one cardio based session and one full weights session per week. In this time all 3 of them have become Grandmothers and are very hands on with their Grandchildren. They take on care giving roles on a frequent basis and have no problems keeping up with their smaller counterparts. I have so much respect and admiration for these ladies who have been so consistent with their fitness week after week. I am also incredibly thankful for these wonderful woman who have supported, mentored and encouraged me and my small business every step of the way. We’ve had a lot of time together training, laughing, sweating and at times downloading on what life throws at us. They have all worked through varied health issues, injuries (that bloody garden Rhonda!) and general limitations by trusting me to modify every movement to suit their individual needs. They’ve reached personal goals and achieved some firsts which include weight loss, learning to box, a 5K run, using a leg press and even box jumps. No matter what I ask of them they give it a go and do it all with a smile
10.01.2022 Here’s a tip for getting up early... put your alarm far enough away from your bed that you have to get out of bed to turn it off. If you use your phone for an alarm but also use it in bed to scroll before you sleep then go and buy a cheap alarm clock and put it somewhere (your bathroom) that you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Trust me once you’re up and out of bed you’re up and not hitting snooze! People often ask me how I get up so early every day but it’s easier wi...th some of these tips and benefits. Alarm away from bed Get clothes/gym bag ready before going to bed Training early before your daily commitments eliminates any excuses not to train. 08.01.2022 We usually enter a new year with new goals. Quite often these are to do with health, well being, weight loss or fitness. What was your plan and how are you implementing it? Goal setting is more than an idea, it’s a plan that requires action and execution. The most life changing goals take time and consistency.
