19.01.2022 Have your say on the Job Warehouse Dear Residents and Supporters, A quick reminder to respond to the revised TP application on the Job Warehouse building on top of Bourke street. Simply click in the link below to object.... https://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au//town-planning-permits-re Ideally respond this week Not much has changed since the first application!!! So a simple statement is OK, that the applicant's revised application does not address or fully satisfy your concerns, therefore your previous objection remains valid, but here some key points, for example: 1) 3am liquor license is unacceptable considering size of venue/ proximity to residents. 2)Trading hours to be limited to 11pm which still means large groups of people leaving until midnight 3) 957 PATRONS!!! PUSH FOR MAX 300-400 PATRONS. Justification: alcohol-related violence and nuisance from large late-night venues (quote Victoria Crime Statistics data) in terms of scale and intensity of use, and the cumulative effects of this and the 90+ other licensed premises within 500m of the development.

18.01.2022 Hopefully this will be serious and money properly spent. We will be watching #zerohomelessness

18.01.2022 Here's a project we can actually support ! When Rolex bought the 1935 Art Deco Centenary Hall on Exhibition Street in 2018 we had fears for the wonderful lobby... and first floor hall which are not protected (since the city of Melbourne hasnt protected any interiors yet). Plans became available recently and we were very pleased to see not only that the exterior was to be restored, but that the lobby was not being touched - and when we contacted Rolex's planning consultants, they confirmed the hall wasnt being touched either - and in fact Rolex bought the building intending to be a good custodian, and create a discrete retail and office presence - not like some other luxury brands (!). If you'd like to support this application too, follow this link, and say something like "Im very pleased to see that this building is to be retained and restored. Its great to finally see a heritage building being treated with respect." https://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au//town-planning-permits-re
