23.01.2022 If you get your child to behave or do what you want by control and authoritarian, power over methods eg. time out, threats to punish, threats to take away pri...vileges/toys/devices, grounding, shame or even promises of rewards, you are likely to suffer the consequences deeply in the teen years when you have a child that simply doesn’t listen, doesn’t care and doesn’t respond to your control mechanisms. Parenting in a conscious and aware manner is about creating connection before correction. And this is not natural for many of us especially when triggered - exhaustion, depletion, stress, worry, our own anxiety - can bring up our own repressed anger which can spew out into the people we love the most. We will be diving into the basics of conscious and aware parenting at the introductory workshop in 21 November. This includes a sharing circle for mamas to share their own experience of these parenting struggles and experience in the safe and judgment free container of circle. 16.01.2022 Our ‘On The Road service’ supports children within their school & preschool settings with weekly one-on-one & small group sessions including Counselling, Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Retrain the Brain and Resilience work to assist with Autism, Anxieties, Stress, Hyper & Hypo arousal, transition challenges, social engagement, and much more.
