23.01.2022 Hi everyone! We (Elly and Maddy) will be at the Lismore Farmers Market- Direct From The Grower on Saturday 19th and 26th of September between 8-11:30AM for community resilience conversations! We are also excited to be joined by the incredible Lismore Australian Red Cross volunteers (Lismore Red Cross Branch / Tea Rooms) who will have a stall too. Grab a cuppa from Ron Coffee Man and come have a chat about what community resilience means to you, our disaster risks in Lismore &... what we can do to become stronger and cope better in times of crisis. Given the compound events we have experienced in recent years (flood, fire, drought, covid-19) this is more important than ever. We also want to hear about what you see as priorities in our community to build our collective resilience, and how we might be able to work together. We acknowledge that we are on Widjabul Wybal Country We pay our deepest respects to their ongoing connection to Country and resilience as First Nations people

16.01.2022 Gratitude can lead to better sleep, reduce pain, give you a greater sense of well-being, and help you to handle change (and there has been a lot of that lately!). It can be the simple things like coffee in the sunshine on your deck, a video chat with a friend, or a relaxing sleep in. What are three things you are grateful for today?

11.01.2022 ** LISMORE CLIMATE CHANGE, FAKE NEWS AND COMMUNITY RESILIENCE FORUM NEXT TUESDAY ** The impact of the bushfires is still being felt across our communities. Farmers for Climate Action is running the Lismore Community Resilience forum to support communities and people still grappling with the fallout of the summer bushfires, drought and now COVID-19. Matthew Ricketson is delivering this forum’s focused address on the impact of a changing media landscape and fake news on the und...erstanding of climate change and community resilience. Other speakers include clinical psychologist Dr Rob Gordon, grassroots political expert Denis Ginnivan, your very own regenerative agriculturalist Lorraine Gordon and Farmers for Climate Action CEO Wendy Cohen. The aim of this forum is to provide attendees with an understanding of the mental impacts of bushfires on the community. It also will endeavour to provide a pathway for the community to commence the long process of building resilience and recovery. This forum will provide the community with tools to go out and create the community change they want to see. Book your place at this important event today. https://www.farmersforclimateaction.org.au/lismore_2020_for
