21.01.2022 Well... that's done it. Never buying chicken from a store again. Time to do a trip to Kimbriki and build a chook pen. Christ we live in a fucked up world.

21.01.2022 So there's a petition going around to protect racehorses from being killed if they can't meet performance expectations. Also currently in limbo are the lives of an estimated 44,000 brumbies, some of the best working horses in the world, which are being held with no apparent place for them to go but the butchers. What could we achieve, as a nation and as a leading social body, if we linked a refuge for these wild horses, the rejected abused horses from the racing industry and ...the lands ravaged by mining and in desperate want for rehabilitation? In today's era where people are not only healthy, educated and protected, able to comprehend amazing leaps in society and build anything our technology can supply demand for, I find it embarrassing that we are still so unaware of the mistakes being made to fuel our development. If we can build a set of apartments, if we can create machines to drill through rock like butter, if we can develop industries of economic entertainment then how is it we cannot see that we all thrive in freedom. The profits alone that we are missing is ridiculous. Racing is boring when there is no element of the wild, of risk. To provide a space for animals such as these horses, some of the strongest horse stock in the world to co-exist with those that have been bred for generations to be the fastest would be naturally beneficial to both the corporate and environmental worlds. As would developing these sites for them in the interest of future stock as a multi-faceted way of researching and developing ways to rehabilitate ruined grounds and combat the dwindling areas of grazable lands in Australia. Also, in respect of the studies done towards re-introducing Wolves to forested areas and considering the mass amounts of unwanted dogs and cats that also are kept and killed on a daily basis in the country, I can't help but wonder why we can't create a new form of wildlife park, where they can assert their own laws, their own survival and with our regeneration input and overseeing, perhaps recreate the lands that our industrialisation and social confusions have laid barren.

19.01.2022 Some more info on the diet encouragers. When buying produce be certain to investigate where they are grown and what the mineral conditions of the soils were like before eating though. Also it is a good idea for home growers to do as much research into their own soils and what they are adding to them as possible to reduce to chances of accidentally introducing incorrect levels of nutrients or toxins to their foods. Recent studies have shown that high levels of Nitrates, usua...lly a result of long term fertilization, concentrated in plants like leafy greens can lead to kidney issues such as kidney stones. If they cause one problem though you can be certain there are others on the way. We are still finding out just how much else the results of generic fertilizers and other high Nitrate "soil solutions" can cause. Sometimes just making the choice to "Go Organic" isn't enough. Whilst the world as we know it is still catching up to the science of soils and how they affect everything about us, there are some out there pushing for more information and sharing as much of that as possible. For an in-depth look at soils have a look at this site: http://forces.si.edu/soils/

15.01.2022 And of course... Lucky last. I know it's hard for city folk to come to terms with mess as a part of life in the garden and in any way really, but more then ever I would love to remind people that leaves fall for a reason. I spend so much time taking away green waste because people don't want the mess, and ok that greenwaste does go back into the system in one way or another, but if you are stripping your garden every year of what it naturally uses to provide for and protect itself you are building a hell of a lot more work to keep that garden healthy as well as looking good. Nature is resourcefull and wastes nothing. The best gardeners try to mimic that, not fight it. http://www.smh.com.au//autumn-leaves-pretty--and-pretty-us

14.01.2022 One more thing to add for those without outdoor spaces to play with. I don't think I can actually describe the joy that going through this webpage actually gave me. So much wonderful plant space to share. I hope everyone has at least one leafy friend in their home this cold season, and if not maybe adopt one from outside that's struggling with the temperature changes and give it a home indoors where it can brighten up your space and prepare for the spring to come.

10.01.2022 Ok so TV debut did not exactly go to plan today! Stepping onto the stage of The Morning Show my heart was racing a thousand beats per second and admittedly I forgot how to think. DId not even manage to throw out my business name once! Haha. However, it was such a great experience to represent and discuss Airtasker and how the community platform has allowed me to set up a basis for my business and connect with so many interesting people. It was also great to see how things w...ork behind the scenes of a large commercial TV show and see first hand what working in this industry is like for so many people. So grateful. Thank you to Tim and Simon at Airtasker for creating this moment today. I hope others can have as positive an experience from the Airtasker world.

03.01.2022 Now THIS is the sort of tech I want to hear more about. Go Solar, Wave, Water, Wind, Wood, Algae, Electricity, Magnetics and Crystaline systems, go all of the a...bove and below. Go with what lasts! Not with what creates the biggest explosion. This is the solution, not oil, not gas, not something that was created millions of years ago and requires the destruction of renewable resources in order to acquire access to a limited one. If the economy is threatened by renewable resources then the basis of the economy better start changing fast. Here's to growing up!
