24.01.2022 BOOKING APP Lets get ready, and here is a little brain work for you. More detailed information will be emailed out if you are completely lost, but here's a little something you can have a look at. We have been sitting on a gold mine!!. Every member who has joined Resolve, (with the exception of Fitness Passport members) would have been encouraged to set up a MyWellness account (via your MyWellness key).... If you have the app on your phone already, I would encourage you re-install to get the updated version. If you do not already have the free app just head to Apple Store or Google Play and search for MyWellness (see image). If you do not remember your account password just enter your email address and follow the prompts for Forgotten Password. If you have not had an account, just set one up. Easy! Have a play and familiarise yourself with Class Bookings on the App under Class Schedule. I have set up a dummy class on Tue 9th of June at 8am. Book it. (Note we are not opening on this date). I want to see whose keen as beans to get going with our new procedure when we open See more

23.01.2022 Happy Sunday Resolvers. The re-opening roadmap for Resolve Fitness has seen some of our staff working and planning over the past 4 weeks. (Lots of brain work and cleaning has been done) Our first step is recommencing some of our Exercise Physiology staff and clients from tomorrow, 1st June. This is a gradual roll out, and over the coming weeks client appointments will increase. Originally, Government restrictions allowed us up to 10 people in the building at this time. To...days Government announcement has seen this upped to 20 people from tomorrow. (We are looking into clarification as to the number and different areas/rooms within the gym). The gym in general will not be opening at this stage, but we are getting closer, revising the Class Timetable, assessing staffed hours, all the while taking into account the social distancing rules and the highest quality of cleaning and hygiene. We ask you be patient, understanding and supportive at this time. It has been, and without a doubt, will be trying times ahead whilst we put procedures in place and do the best for our members, staff and the business in general. All members will be emailed over the week, with the finer details of when we will re-open and when memberships will be reactivated. Any individual queries, please continue to email [email protected]. See you soon See more

Please note, the Booking system has had to be set up in advance of our opening, so we are ready to go when we have an opening date. Bookings are not applicable until we are open.

22.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!! In accordance with todays lockdown announcement by Queensland Government, Resolve Fitness will be closed for 3 days from 4pm today, Tuesday 29th June. This means NO 24/7 access. Unless the lockdown is extended further, we shall re-open with 24/7 access and Virtual classes from 6pm Friday 2nd July 2021, with instructor led classes back up and running Saturday 3rd July. 21.01.2022 Happy Easter to you all Hope you are all keeping well and happy, and staying connected in some way. Stay safe and eat chocolate!

20.01.2022 Update re Booking App....please do not set up a new MyWellness account if you have one already. If this is done, the new account will not let you book. I can fix this, but it will save work if you avoid doubling up your account . Do not panic, more info in relation to bookings will be sent out!

20.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Friday 14th August, between the hours of 4am-5am, we will have chemical fogging taking place in the gym. The fogging is a hospital grade disinfectant that kills 99.99% of germs and lasts for 28 days. It is 100% safe, however does have a slight odour. To avoid possible inconvenience we recommend avoiding using the gym at this time, or be prepared to step outside for approximately 15minutes.

20.01.2022 Yes...the gym does miss you back! Please see information below that was emailed to members today, Monday 8th June. Dear Resolve Fitness member, I hope this email finds you well and happy ... This is a simple email to touch base with you all and let you know where we are at in regards to our re-opening. As a result of the Covid Safe Industry Plan approved for the Queensland Fitness sector on Wednesday 3rd June, our planned opening will not be happening at the current Stage 2. We are still unclear as to the date, but I can say it will NOT be in the next 2 weeks. With the Safety Plan now stating 7 square metres per person in gyms, not the 4 square metres, we will not be able to currently re-open and provide a service we are happy with, or one that you would be happy with. The plan states gatherings of 20 people per area is allowed. However, now taking into account the 7 square metres per person, this reduces the gathering significantly and would leave many of you, as well as ourselves, very disgruntled with such small numbers being able to take part in classes or use the gym. We are ready to go when the rules allow the 4 square metres per person in gyms. Last week we started back up with some of our Exercise Physiology clients. It has been great to breathe life into the gym again, after 10 weeks of being closed. When we do open to members, it will be with new rules, procedures and restrictions, with several changes to the way the gym was operating. This is for the health benefit of you, our staff and the wider community in relation to Covid-19. Over the next couple of weeks we shall be emailing further information in relation to various new procedures, so that you have a full understanding of what will be happening before you come back to us. Any questions you may have now, will be answered over the coming weeks, so we ask you please be patient with us. Rest assured that anything you are concerned about, or have questions for, has been thought of and will be communicated to you over the coming weeks. This will include answers to the following areas:- Membership reactivation date First Payment run date Booking system Social distancing numbers New Class Timetable Operating and staffed hours (24/7 info and creche info) Cleaning/Hygiene I will be in touch again over the coming weeks with further information. Please take care and see you soon!

15.01.2022 Please note, mask wearing is mandatory from 1am tomorrow, Tuesday 29th June 2021. Masks must be worn to and from the gym, as well as inside the gym. If are taking part in high impact aerobic exercise your mask can be temporarily removed. Due to the sizing of our rooms, our room capacity signage has not changed, and still reflects the 1 person per 4 square metre ruling. A couple of classes had the booking capacity increased when we moved to the 1 person per 2 square metre rul...ing, and these will now drop back to the required numbers reflecting the 4 square metre ruling. Very little will change for us in terms of numbers. Please continue to be your amazing selves at using a towel during your workout, wiping down equipment before and after use with the wipes provided, avoiding the gym if you have symptoms, keeping your distance from each other and staff (1.5 metres), book in for classes using the My Wellness app, and not arriving for classes more than 5 minutes before start time, (to avoid higher numbers during class change over). Remember you must continue to scan in for every visit to the gym, and from 1am 9th July (information to follow) you must also use the Queensland booking app in addition to your Resolve scan in. Most importantly, do not panic....business as usual for us. We just need to do what we have been doing...just with masks See more

14.01.2022 It was a fantastic re-opening week last week, and so good to see our members and instructors walking through the door! Long may it continue Don't forget to use the MyWellness App to book in for your classes. No need to book in for Virtual classes or general gym use. If you are not quite sure of what we have on offer, here are our timetables. The Les Mills Virtual is a great alternative if you are unable to attend our Instructor led classes. Boxing continues to be tempora...rily replaced by Virtual Combat for this week, but look out for the announcement of the recommencement date. Remember to avoid arriving early for classes, 5 minutes is enough, and please continue to follow Covid signage guidelines. Woop woop, roll on our second week, where we hope to see more of your faces See more

14.01.2022 Wow...what a day!!! Weeks of planning and action now being crammed into days. Today we started back with some of our Exercise Physiology clients. First in the door, since we closed exactly 10 weeks ago, was Steve, pictured here with our EP Tom. The gym itself will now be opening sooner than we had initially thought, but we are just waiting on 100% confirmation from the relevant governing bodies, as to the gathering of 20 persons and different areas of the gym. We are hoping... within the next couple of weeks. Look out for more information later in the week and an email to all members Whose ready?!?! See more

13.01.2022 Very proud to announce Karen recently completed her Cert III in Allied Health. Well done Karen! In addition, during our temporary closure, she also completed 10 years service with the Caloundra RSL. Congratulations Fantastic achievement on both Karen has been a long standing Resolve Fitness staff member, and has progressed to become a valued Resolve Exercise Physiology team member, dealing with the day to day running of the REP side of the business. Thank you Karen!

11.01.2022 A little overdue, but we are back up and running with our instagram page. Give us a follow

11.01.2022 Good news....the gym is still standing and ready for you at 6pm today. However, sadly being closed for 3 days has somehow resulted in both projector bulbs blowing. This means NO VIRTUAL VISUAL IN BOTH ROOMS. WE DO HAVE SOUND though if you would like to take part with just sound. Apologies, this will be fixed during business Monday. Freyja

10.01.2022 Happy Christmas from the Lite class. Here's to a bigger, better, healthier, positive 2021!

09.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder to please continue to follow the Covid Safety guidelines, as indicated in and around the gym. At Resolve we have an approved Covid Plan set in place, which has allowed us to continue to provide the awesome service you have been used to. This plan must be adhered to by both staff and members, and as a proactive approach is detrimental to everyones health, fitness and wellbeing. Social distancing of 1.5m, bookings for instructor led classes, wipe down equipment before and after use with wipes provided, bring and use a towel for your workout, bring your own mat and water, wash hands regularly, use sanitiser provided and if you are sick please stay at home.

08.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Tomorrow Friday 11th September, between the hours of 5am-5.30am, we will have our monthly chemical fogging taking place in the gym. Thank you

07.01.2022 What are you eating today?

07.01.2022 UPDATE: We would like to advise our members that we are still unclear as to when we will re-open. Sorry we can not give you answers just yet. As a result of the Covid Safety Plan announcement last night, which states we now need to have 7 sq m per person in each room, not the 4 sq m we have been working to, we are still questioning a date. I can tell you that it will not be within the next 2 weeks. We are frantically working behind the scenes to get more answers to ensure th...at when we do open, it will be with your best interest at heart. Not just in terms of safety, but in terms of fairness for members. (We do not want 20 to 30 people trying to book into the one class or the gym floor for only 8 to 12 spots). This is how the 7 sq m will affect us, reducing numbers drastically, and we feel we would upset and frustrate the majority, more so than if we stay closed just a little longer. We MAY need to wait until Stage 3. An email will be sent out to members over the coming days and week, providing more information on our new procedures, including our awesome Booking App, Class Timetable, Opening Hours, cleaning procedures and a clearer picture of when we will open. Please bear with us over the coming week whilst we aim to make concrete decisions based on the changing rules and restrictions that need to be in place for your physical and mental health and safety, as well as our staff and the wider community See more

07.01.2022 2020 has been a tough year for most. That, on top of the usual day to day stressers or unexpected major stressful events, can leave some people feeling overwhelmed and helpless. The first step is to treat every person with respect and understanding. Sometimes giving people the benefit of the doubt allows time to generate an understanding for someones situation. It allows the person to feel valued and significant. That in itself can be huge.... Don't let the saying "R U OK ?", just be an automated sentence, where you dont really want to know the answer. Ask it with meaning, but more importantly, follow on from that question. This official article gives some suggestions on how to do that. 'R U OK Day ?' Thursday 10th September.

07.01.2022 Happy Christmas from all of us to all of you! A huge thank you to our members....past, current and future. Your support, positive words and the care you have shown throughout 2020 has helped us get through a challenging year. So much learning has been done, not just for the team but for our members too. (It's good to work the brain too isn't it)!? Thank you for sticking with us and helping us create the caring community we have here at Resolve Fitness. Have a safe and happy Christmas with loved ones, and please reach out if you are alone or lonely.

07.01.2022 Thursday 24th Sept 9.30am Les Mills Body Attack will be replaced (that date only) by a Freestyle Step Class with Ngaire. Come and enjoy the fun challenge that comes with a cardio workout! Ngaire is great at providing options for all levels, so if you haven't given her Step classes a go, now is your chance. Don't forget to book in via the MyWellness Booking App

07.01.2022 If you fit the attached criteria, you are invited to complete one or two 20-minute online surveys. In conjunction with the University of the Sunshine Coast a research team is undertaking a study to investigate the relationship between nutrition knowledge, dietary intake and physical activity among active older Australians (65 years or older). This research is important to give health care practitioners a better understanding on where to target future nutrition education and h...ow to improve dietary strategies for better health outcomes for active older Australians. As thank you for your time, participants can choose to receive a FREE dietetic consultation. If the second survey is completed, participants will also receive a FREE dietary assessment report. 06.01.2022 How is everyone going today? Feel free to share your covid lockdown activity ideas. I find jigsaws are great for passing time and mental health. Especially great as a family activity. Big shout out to those who have lost work and income over these 3 days. Not only our contracted instructors and casual staff here at Resolve Fitness, but also many of our Resolve community. Thinking of you!

05.01.2022 Missing and thinking of you all. If you are finding things a challenge reach out to others. Soon......

05.01.2022 What's the relationship between EXERCISE and SLEEP? Numerous studies have shown that exercise improves sleep quality. Better sleep gives you more energy. Mo...re energy makes it easier to exercise - it's a wonderful cycle. How does exercise help us sleep? Exposure to natural light (if you can exercise outside) sets our body's sleep rhythms Leads to an increase in body temperature which can induce drowsiness (a morning or afternoon workout is best) Relives stress and anxiety to help you relax Being active tires you out and increases your sleep drive Good quality sleep is essential for optimum health. Aim for 30 minutes of exercise per day and improve your sleep! Learn more on our blog: exerciseright.com.au/tired-of-being-tired-poor-sleep-exerc/ #ExerciseRight
