12.01.2022 When the ABC received news of a strange sound coming from a newbuild hotel in Adelaide’s town centre they came straight to Resonate to find out what was going on. This afternoon our now famous Darren Jurevicius explained to the ABC Radio caller the reason why new Hotel Indigo, next to the Central Markets, was producing such strange sounds. On high wind days the hotel was making some ‘eerily melancholic sounds’. Darren advised presenter Sonya Feldhoff that the noise was l...ikely being generated by wind moving over specific structural elements on the building causing the types of noises described ie: a singing or tonal noises. Darren mentioned that unfortunately, these types of sounds really needed to be designed out in the early design stages as it is harder to fix once the building is already constructed. 03.01.2022 2020 has been challenging and we are thankful that we got through it together.
