20.01.2022 Thrilled to launch our new campaign Respect Women: Call It Out 'Respect Is' exploring the numerous ways we can all champion respect, gender equality and inclusion. The campaign empowers people to 'call out' the seemingly innocuous attitudes and behaviours that give violence safe passage. To coincide with The United Nations 16 Days of activism against gender based violence, we have created 16 statements showcasing what respect looks like. We encourage the community to share t...hese statements across social media using the hashtags #respectis #callitout A violence-free Victoria. It all starts with respect. https://www.respectvictoria.vic.gov.au//respect-women-call

09.01.2022 Appalled by this crime. We stand in solidarity with the family, friends and community of Celeste Manno found dead in her family home yesterday, allegedly killed by a man known to her. Nobody should die this way. https://www.theage.com.au//man-arrested-after-woman-found-

05.01.2022 As principal partner of Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre Walk Against Family Violence we encourage the community to register and in true COVID-19 style 'walk from home' on Wednesday 25 November. Considering the evolving landscape of Melbourne and regional Victoria's COVID-19 related restrictions, we are unable to host a group walk. Happily, this means all Victorians can walk their own way to raise awareness! #WAFV2020 https://walk.safesteps.org.au/

04.01.2022 Yesterday was an important day. 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence was launched with the 12th annual Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre Walk Against Family Violence. Respect Victoria CEO Tracey Gaudry walked in Treasury Gardens, alongside colleagues who spend their working lives tackling family violence from all angles, from response services and Members of Parliament through to victim survivors. Walking shoulder to shoulder with friends and colleagues, prevention and awareness raising was the focus. The colour orange was dotted across Victoria as the community united, walking towards a future where every person is safe, equal and respected. To everyone who took part, we thank you #WAFV2020
