19.01.2022 Here's a great idea

16.01.2022 Baptist World Aid Australia has released a report about the status of the Clothing and Textile industry that looks specifically at how Covid19 has affected the people who work in it. They've looked at the main clothing brands and provide an assessment of their performance against against a number of criteria. As expected, some companies are doing well in addressing all requirements, others are complying with some of the requirements and a few fail completely. How does your... favourite clothing supplier rate, I wonder? You can download the full report from their website - https://baptistworldaid.org.au/resou/ethical-fashion-guide/

16.01.2022 There are some inspiring stories in this show about the circular economy of fashion.

15.01.2022 We often get donations of UFO's (unfinished objects) at the studio, so they are useful as projects for learning how to make clothes using patterns. This shirt came in already cut, without a pattern, but including a small "Golf" logo. Chishu decided to finish it as a birthday present for her friend Giacomo. She matched the stripes perfectly in sewing it together, added the Golf logo as a label and then finished it off with an embroidered "G" in gold thread.... She had made some handmade paper earlier so she also made him some bunting with his name in Mandarin. As a beginner, Chishu did a brilliant job of completing this UFO. It was tricky because sewing stretch material is always harder than woven material. Well done Chishu, you deserve to feel very proud of this project!

14.01.2022 Great idea, especially using shirts with worn cuffs and collars.

14.01.2022 Another interesting post
