25.01.2022 Maybe you could do a forward fold today ......(Uttanasana ) Sooooo many great benefits but make sure you try not to lock out your knees. The aim of this is to lengthen out and decompress your lower back rather than to hang into a stretch for your hamstrings ! However, to safely increase the stretch in the backs of your legs, bend your knees slightly. Imagine that the back of pelvis (sacrum ) is sinking deeper into your back and bring the tailbone closer to the pubis. Then a...gainst this resistance, push the top thighs back and the heels down and straighten the knees again. Be careful not to straighten the knees by locking them back but in the meantime your getting a sense of traction and elongation. 22.01.2022 Postnatal Pilates Just a quick little core reset as I’ve been feeling a little lower back stiffness ~ 8 mins on the roller. Look how busy the little chicken is in just 8 mins. Maybe that’s why my back is tight chasing her around! Post natal consultations with me are also available as now I’m back working on Wednesdays at the Melbourne sports and spinal clinic. In a room full of women teaching them to connect into pelvic floor with body loving awareness, breath and embodied movement. Connecting with women for @angea_acupuncture_yoga and my beautiful friend for a community fundraiser ‘move into endo’ awareness month. It can start from any age where tissue can be found on the ovaries, fallopian tubes or the intestines. We are helping women in our community to also acknowledge painful periods arnt normal!
