21.01.2022 The most challenging part of 2020 for me, has been witnessing the amount of fear that people have been plunged into by the media. Fear is an emotion that is only meant to function as an alarm but is now being perpetuated to the point where its becoming a state of consciousness for so many people. The emotion of fear is correlated with the first energy centre of our body (also known as the base chakra) that represents survival, security, safety and directly... affects our reproductive organs and adrenal glands. This energy centre is the root of your being and is your deepest connection to your body and the earth. By knowing how to activate and balance your first energy centre you can disengage yourself from the fear-based mentality that has been so prevalent this year. If you feel you would benefit from some balancing in this area then I suggest the following exercises: ~ Spend HEAPS of time in nature! ~ Pay close attention to the trees, flowers, plants and birds as you walk around and admire the life force energy that created the area you are in. ~ Focus your mind to absorb as much of your surroundings as possible. ~ Hug a tree - it might sound a bit nuts but I've been trying it out lately and it feels pretty damn good! ~ Practising presence/focus while in nature will be helpful for anyone who is struggling financially as it will help you to cultivate a feeling of security and abundance which can open the door to new opportunities. ~ Practising both the tree pose and the cobra pose in yoga are great for balancing this energy centre.
