25.01.2022 Colour fading So many of the early colour prints produced, particularly in min labs, are impacted by colour leaching. Over time UV light attacks the dye layers within the print and colours shift dramatically. As this sample shows it is possible to restore the colour in some instances
18.01.2022 As professional photographers for over 40 years we have seen much change but more importantly we’ve come to understand the importance of preserving images that tell our life story, not so much for us here and now but for the generations that follow. If we rely solely on digital storage..... images will be lost. We could become names only in the future, our visual heritage could be lost. 11.01.2022 Time and environment can be savage on old photographs, I recent restored these for the local historical society. Three had been severely heat affected hence darkened and the print surface had cracked badly. They were reprinted using latest technology designed to stand the test of time hopefully in 100 years they will look the same.
