25.01.2022 Hubby thinks I'm quite mad sometimes but I'm a detailed driven person. He painted the hardware yesterday and today I'm sanding the edges off. 12 handles and 24 bolts x 6 side per bolt, got a little touch just to add a gleam to the black. Anyone else out there that just needs to add a little extra? have a lovely day and stay safe

25.01.2022 I don't always show you my before and after but this one is for me and I love the difference a new top and paint and a little love has made. She's so elegant in ombre grey and gold.

23.01.2022 This bookcase /storage unit is such a versatile piece. Finished in shades of blue with a white wash finish and sealed with wax. Each shelf has a tri-coloured stencil to add interest. The drawers feature a MINT by michelle decoupage paper called Road to Louveviennes with the sides, top and bottom blended in to match. Dimensions are 89cm wide x 34cm deep x 181cm high.

22.01.2022 Warming up in Perth now. We have the summer feels for sure. Work is progressing on this buffet. The top and all the doors are nearly done.

21.01.2022 Another beautiful day in Perth today. Touch up time on the buffet top in the shed today. Holes filled and ready to sand and all those little areas inspected and getting fixed before the base gets a coat of black.. Next will be varnish and hardware. This baby is close to done Stay safe and well

21.01.2022 Staining done on the buffet top and drawers. Now I wait for that to dry and in the mean time it's a movie and feet up on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The varnish will have to wait. Handles will get a coat of black tomorrow. It's nearly there. Hope you find some time to relax too. Stay safe and well.

16.01.2022 Yay it's the weekend and my eldest sons 38th birthday! Where does the time go! Last buff and wax done on the table top. Look at that shine. A day off for me tomorrow as we have birthday celebrations. Have a lovely weekend all and stay safe

14.01.2022 Hi all. It's hard to believe it but we had 45ml of rain yesterday and it's wet and windy today. I'm working on the base of my table today using a tip I got from The Bottom Line Designs last week. The wood is rough and dinged up so I have mixed 1/3rd of a cup each of spak filler, paint and water. This creates a super thick slurry which will fill the imperfections. I think I'll give this old girl a second coat in the worst places then a light sand and then on with the rest of the layers. Looks much better already!

14.01.2022 Happy Friyay! Where did that week go? The base of my poor battered table is done and what a difference. Hubby is still working on the top. He is learning new skills routing all the sides and getting the fold down sides to match up. So I am staying out of his way until it's done But oh I'm loving it so far

12.01.2022 As you know we have been work busier than one armed paperhanger with a bad case of hives here at Resto's lately. No sooner is one ready to go out the door and another will be coming in from a different client. So it will be a different colourway for them. This buffet and hutch looks really beautiful. So proud of the work done on these pieces.

08.01.2022 The stenciling is well underway with the drop leafed table. My project while hubby strips down the buffet that is next in line. I just love the gold on the grey

07.01.2022 We had a busy weekend with babysitting and birthday celebrations for two of my sons. Also putting up my tree and I also had a new cut and colour. It will take me a while to get used to it I think. Back to work today and tomorrow I get back to finishing off the buffet and hutch. Have a lovely day folks and stay safe!

07.01.2022 Happy Australia Day folks One more Resto's project went home yesterday The customer is covering the seats so no fully finished pics but you get the gist. I'm working on a little tea trolley for another customer as well. I will post when finished

06.01.2022 A few things happening at Resto's today. We have a new commision piece to clean and an antique table in terrible conditions to clean up to use for Christmas. My client is thinking over her colour choice so the table will get the attention first.

04.01.2022 Nearly finished this table top. These ones take a lot of time as we have to take the top back to bare wood. All the yellowed varnish is gone. Back to the natural colour of the pine.
