20.01.2022 Ok to all the followers and Facebook people, this monaro has an LS1 out of a VT senator (commodore) that had the VATS(vehicle anti theft system) turned off, it's been together and running before we got the car, we have redone the entire car, it's been painted but all the electrics were removed, put it all back together and now the security has come back on for some reason, does anyone in the springwood (qld logan) area remove these security as now it won't send a spark signal to fire.... #monaro #commodore #LS1 #lstheworld #hsv @ RESTO STATION AUTO

16.01.2022 Vauxhalls new brake set up coming along nicely, pedal box in lines made to the kick panel, booster will be inside the front guard right near the A-pillar with braided flex lines so's that if needed the booster can be unbolted from inside the kick panel area and pulled forward to do repairs without having to take the guard off to do it.... nice little trick I think to save a major removal of panels just to get to the booster lines... bloody big job though well worth it in the long run I think... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

12.01.2022 Ok people out in Facebook land, the big land barge needs to be blasted and epoxy coated, she's a big girl so I will be separating it from the chassis and putting it on a dolly to be moved around, who around can do it at a reasonable price and guarantee to not warp the panels as there so big they need to stay as true as possible, every where needs doing, Inside the car, the boot, underneath and all the hanging panels as well... if you know someone who wants to take it on and end up being my new blasting go to guy than get in touch, we have around 4 cars in the mix to be done....

11.01.2022 The wife's new/old/real car, 1 owner VC original 6cyl manual, auto now for her but still have all the manual parts to keep it original, lowered and mags but again have all the original parts as well for it, it'll get air con fitted up soon and all the engine bay parts will be removed, cleaned up, repainted and detailed including engine, some new hoses and a general total tidy up and hopefully but next week it'll have rego on it and she can hit the road... to all that know me yes I now have a holden and of all things a Commodore but it was just to good to pass up.... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

10.01.2022 Hi guys, so the HQ coupe with the LS1 is running but still idling high, i have tried the idle motor reset a few times now and not been sucessful, the idle motor still opens slightly and allows it to rev at around 1500-2000rpm, i dont believe i need it to go on a dyno but every tuner that the owner has contacted so far wants to charge for a full tune, is there any one out there that can talk to the comp and reset the idle motors settings to it so it behaves its self at the shop without having to send it to the dyno??? 07.01.2022 Headers in and plug leads made, just zip tied in place where they will sit so I can get the lengths right, most likely and up running the extreme temp boot ends as there a little close to the header pipes in some areas, looking good but... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

02.01.2022 So this is the wife's new ride and our first in shop build were doing, she wants it to MOVE FASTER so we've decided to name it mufasta, evo 3 motor and just need to find an auto to go beside it in the engine bay and than we drop it all in, so to all the mitsy guys out there what good 4G pattern box fits in as it's on the opposite side to the original position, or do we just turbo the 4G15 instead?????

02.01.2022 Front wheels are where they should be now on the second Vauxhall we have in for a tidy up, exact same as the other full Resto were doing only all were doing to this 1 is front end up grade, switching motor and box from the original Vauxhall 6cyl and Celica 5spd it had to a holden 202 and tri-matic, all new brake set up, steering column, shifter and a few other small things and she will be on her way back to the owner in no time.... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

02.01.2022 So the hidden booster is in now with flex lines so it can be removed without taking the front guard off to get to it all, just need to make a cover plate to protect it from debris the front wheel may pick up and than male the hard lines from the bulkhead fittings at the bottom to the front flex lines on the chassis... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

01.01.2022 So the monaro is running(poorly) the idle air control valve that came with the aeroflow 4 brrl throttle body was bypass air and not controlling it, spoke to a few people about it and they said to swap to an original LS1 unit, did that no change still revs at around 3-4000rpm, if I block the air bleed hole at the back which feeds the air control valve it will idle nicely, now I've had a mafless tune put into it, it's a std HSV senator motor, loom and comp and it seems to me that something is holding the air control motor off it's seat and bypassing air, other than shipping it off to a dyno tuner(which I also need to find someone local to us) does anyone have some insite as to why it isn't behaving it's self and a fix so I can move it around to finish off the trim and assembly before I send it for a tune to give it back to the customer...

01.01.2022 Caddy(landbarge) project update.... motor, box and some panels and parts up front have been removed, engine has had its first clean down to get yrs of oil and crud off the motor and we've stripped the accessories off it and started the search for some upgrades to the engine, box and brake system, some dress up parts for the motor and options for performance parts.... @ RESTO STATION AUTO

01.01.2022 Ok so who out there in scan tool world has a G-scan that will talk to an 2005 isuzu FRR525 as it doesn't have an OBD2 type its a different style plug... Possibly need a mobile guy or need to relitively close to logan area in brisbane.. Cheers Trent and Ally..
