The 13-member Independent Panel is co-Chaired by Helen Clark (former Prime Minister of New Zealand) and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (former President of Liberia).

23.01.2022 Fantastic news released this week that will help South East Asia COVID-19 Recovery and help us on our mission to #EndCOVIDForAll
18.01.2022 "Because of COVID-19, extreme poverty has increased by 7%. Vaccine coverage, a good proxy measure for how health systems are functioning, is dropping to levels last seen in the 1990s, setting the world back about 25 years in 25 weeks."

14.01.2022 Great photo of RESULTS Grassroots advocate Adarsh, with Senator Rex Patrick after a positive meeting yesterday discussing our ongoing Tuberculosis campaign. TB often doesn't receive enough political and public attention, resulting in very little public investment to find new diagnostics and drugs. Incredibly worrying given the fact TB kills more people than HIV, AIDS and Malaria combined. Thank you for your time, Senator!
13.01.2022 Joining the thousands of Australians who have signed the petition to #EndCOVIDForAll, read Julia Gillard's piece in The Sydney Morning Herald. There is still time to prevent COVID-19 from creating a lost generation of children. We have our own struggles, but I am optimistic that Australians of good will will support the global challenge.
12.01.2022 Congratulations Maree Nutt on her letter to the editor in today's Financial Review a response to Gordon Cairns' article last week about how looking beyond our shores in attempting to #EndCOVIDForAll both supports our region's recovery and secures Australia's future prosperity. 11.01.2022 "People living with HIV have a 16 to 27 times greater risk of contracting a second infectious disease: tuberculosis." "The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that in 2015 1.2 million people, around 11% of the 10.4 million tuberculosis cases worldwide, were also infected with HIV."
10.01.2022 5.7 MILLION people received lifesaving TB medicine in 2019, but #COVID19 is reversing that progress. We could see an additional 525,000 TB deaths in the next year eliminating +10 years of gains. The latest The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Results report shows both the impact of the combined effort to combat HIV, TB and Malaria (saving 38 million lives in 18 years) and the risk that COVID-19 impacts could undo this progress. 10.01.2022 Reflecting on last weeks huge achievement: the World Health Organization (WHO) African Region's success against wild polio virus demonstrates that through collective efforts, progress against some of the biggest global health challenges is possible. Wild polio virus transmission is now only present in two countries worldwide: Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is vital we do not become complacent. Countries and donors remain vigilant against all forms of polio, until every strain is eradicated worldwide.
09.01.2022 #COVID19 has highlighted both the weaknesses present in current healthcare systems and the importance of community led efforts in responding to health crises. To #EndTB, investment in these areas is critical. Click the link below to read the newly launched report now. #buildbackbettertoendtb
09.01.2022 "If history is any guide, the coronaviruss impact on the poor will be felt long after the pandemic is over. The socioeconomic crisis in Eastern Europe in the early 1990s, for example, led to the highest rates in the world of a kind of TB that was resistant to multiple drugs, a dubious distinction the region holds even today." 09.01.2022 In the shadow of the #COVID-19 pandemic, other infectious diseases that have experienced lowering death rates in recent decades have now been given the opportunity to spread.
09.01.2022 Watch RESULTS grassroots advocate Demi Mason, share her TB journey. #ENDTB
09.01.2022 During the COVID-19 pandemic TB services were scaled down - Listen to Iru Tofinga from Papua New Guinea on how COVID-19 is impacting Tuberculosis services in the region.
08.01.2022 Thank you to all our grassroots advocates and friends who joined our 'Solidarity at a Social Distance' event last night! Together we created art in solidarity whilst hearing about the #EndCOVIDForAll campaign and impact of COVID-19 in our region. Over 20,000 people have now signed the pledge to #EndCOVIDForAll! Further adding to a huge day, yesterday Prime Minister Scott Morrison (ScoMo) announced Australia's commitment to ensuring early access to the Oxford Vaccine for our Pacific neighbours as well as partners in Southeast Asia (read the official press release here - pm.gov.au/media). Thank you to all who have already signed the pledge! Show your support today - https://bit.ly/2ElTOA8
08.01.2022 "We know that previous disruptions to anti-malaria efforts (such as during recent Ebola outbreaks) led to thousands of additional deaths from the mosquito-borne virus. And polio, which has been on the cusp of global eradication in recent years, could come surging back in places that have been working diligently for decades to eliminate it."
08.01.2022 Today marks two years since world leaders gathered for the historic UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting, endorsing an ambitious political declaration that outlined the key commitments to be met by 2022 for the world to get back on track in the fight against TB. This milestone for TB comes in difficult times, as the COVID-19 pandemic wreaks devastating health, economic, and social impacts across the globe, rolling back our achievements on TB to the level of 2015. This is why now, more than ever, we must stand in solidarity and further scale-up TB response.
07.01.2022 "In 2020, we have had little positive news in global health. But the continent of Africa has just been certified free of wild polio which is a big step towards the goal of eradicating polio globally!" - Read RESULTS Policy and Advocacy Manager Mark Rice's piece on the recent good news.

05.01.2022 Thank you Senator Catryna Bilyk, for taking the time to meet with us and discuss the impact of #COVID19 on TB. So important to keep the conversation going on the worlds deadliest infectious disease killer, that often receives little political and public attention. #EndTB
04.01.2022 Don't forget to register for our 'Solidarity at a Social Distance' event on tonight! Come along with your favourite art/craft, your family and friends, and some snacks to meet with like-minded individuals and learn more about RESULTS and our broader work to end poverty!
04.01.2022 Thanks to vaccination efforts, today marks the day all 47 countries of the World Health Organization (WHO) African Region have been officially certified as free of wild poliovirus Today we celebrate this historic achievement thanks to front line health workers, strong leadership, and donors such as the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. However the work is not yet done. The COVID-19 pandemic is significantly reducing immunisation coverage against vaccine-preventable diseases. Lets use the eradication of wild polio in Africa as an opportunity to remind our communities and spread the word on the importance of vaccination. #VaccinesWork #EndPolio
