20.01.2022 I used to be anti-stretching. Mostly because it was so hard for me and I only knew what I knew. Flexibility was something I thought of as pointless because I wanted to make myself STRONGER, not bendy and weak, right?? How wrong I was.... Of course losing the weight that was restricting my movement has palyed a part, but the applied stretching, both dynamic AND static has literally changed the way that my body moves. Every aspect of my training has improved with my gradually increasing range of motion. Gaining strength in position's I never thought I could reach has been a true revelation for how my body operates and the things that I can do. My hips have been the most noticeable. For years with my lifting I would do my activation drills like we are told, but I was still so restricted in my movement that I was sore and tight during and after my sesisons in the gym. We are almost conditioned to think this is a part of getting stronger and moving our bodies. Waking up sore and tight can be a thing of the past like it has become for me. If you still think you cannot become stronger AND increase your flexibility at the same time someone better tell @rangeofstrength because he has changed the game with his programming and approach to flexibility. If you want to change how your body moves I would absolutely recommend reaching out to him for some guidance. You don't need to live in pain. You can have better things if you make better choices. Do you stay away from exercise because you know how sore you will be the next day? What would it be worth to you to build a new body?

19.01.2022 We have become so far removed from nature in our modern world that something as simple as taking off your shoes can help to improve the balance of energy withing your body. Some great information in this book relating to something I have unknowingly been practising for a long time. Perhaps a natural instinct? Not sure. I've always been a proponent of going barefoot, so much so that I would be asked to leave my local shops until I came back with shoes on ... I wouldn't recommend to people to throw their shoes out of course, but spending time barefoot outside of your home standing on the earth is a powerful practice. There is a definite science behind the benefits which is well explained in the book. Essentially, contact with the earth helps to restore the balance of positive and negative energy in the body. This can help with things like inflammation and to help remove free radicals from the body which is always a good thing. How many times have you been to the beach and walked on the wet sand without shoes and left feeling refreshed and energised? Guess what, that feeling is not from the sea breeze

13.01.2022 1 year with @real_mvmt 1 year of heading back to nature Minus 27 kg

12.01.2022 Sunday morning skills & movement after a later than usual night. Bare essentials are enough to wake up the body Balance beam, band pull aparts, hand and foot juggle and some grip training. The silly season often gets away on us. Negative self talk is not a good coping mechanism though right?? You are in control, and what you are eating is your choice, so take responsibility and keep it real. Extra training to allow for extra food intake sounds like a great plan but unfortun...ately it's not that simple Make the effort to get some daily movement in and enjoy yourself

05.01.2022 Latest listen: The Resilience Project I love the fact that services like this one are gaining traction. Some great information on the statistics of mental health issues. Also some helpful anecdotes for perspective. The developed world, in particular Australia have unacceptably high levels of mental health issues. This man has built something special to help take on that problem head first. Powerful stuff and some of the most important work of our time.... Are we just ungrateful as a population, or are we letting the wrong influences in?? Why do we compare ourselves to others without any real perspective?? Many questions from this one but this needs to be talked about
