25.01.2022 Has been too long between pauses to gain new perspective on business. We have decided the Danes have a thing or two to share about creativity in business and innovation. A couple of days of helpful insights and interesting people ahead. #thisnordic

23.01.2022 Projects like these.... it has been totally rewarding to work with Maree from @beautifulroom on her Living Studio project @eastland. We have extended her offer from interior design services & retail space to build a place of play for the customer with their own design project t. Think of it like a gym membership just far more creative. The stunning launch last night is just the beginning of the rewarding times that her customers will have in accessing this membership design s...pace. Finding new ways to drive engagement in retailing requires us to solve our customers challenges - not just sell stuff. The Living Studio, as a membership offer re thinks the possibility in the experience economy. Lucky us to have the trust of Alison & the Eastland team to take Maree on this journey. Totally worth a look and to meet the team. Suspect a 6 month membership may well be a hit for Christmas - let the journey commence! @ Eastland Shopping Centre See more

22.01.2022 Carla Cammilla Hjort’s session @this.nordic was a fav... founder of SPACE10, a future-living lab located in the heart of Copenhagen. The purpose is to enable a better, more meaningful and sustainable life - a project in partnership with IKEA to determine how they make a difference beyond their current role in our homes. Crazy interesting story.

20.01.2022 A drop in at the Nudie Jeans store in Stockholm delivered the goods. Their free repair for life commitment at play with this machine working its magic & the positive message of sustainability captures the minds of well intending customers. We are pretty convinced this is the new norm rather than a trend.

18.01.2022 Getting a sensory gig working does not need to be that hard it seems... crate up the empties and share the citrus spirit in the street. Loved this little one from Stockholm last week.

13.01.2022 Spending the day with great minds in small business at Queenscliff was a total treat. O Space is a hidden treasure on the Bellarine. Finding reasons to head that way again soon will be easy!

10.01.2022 We are excited for @vicinitycentres and the teams managing their new assets in Sydney CBD - QVB Sydney & The Strand Arcade long standing favourites for the uniqueness of independent retail that they offer along side of significant brands. Good things happen when you journey up the stairs at The Strand, you find beautiful maker stories like @andrewmcdonaldshoemaker Andrew tells a great story in his bespoke footwear workshop. He celebrates both the making and selling,... offering a tangible link to the craft process that is often lost in contemporary retail. Pleased to see his cleverness makes the pages of The Creative Shopkeeper - a stunning perspective of unique retail around the globe. 07.01.2022 Ah the Danes... a quick trip north for a conference has gifted us the luxury of visiting the most magnificent bike shop - oh excuse me... lifestyle store... in Copenhagen. ‘Build it your way’ is the very clear message in this beautiful space @velorbisnorge . In a city where there is a ratio of 3 bikes per resident, there is a load of personalisation to engage. So many perspectives as we travel - always more to learn. @ KØBENHAVN - Kopenhagen -

07.01.2022 So many versions of how retail is done... The Hundred Mile Home from the Barossa is a bit of a fav for the perspective it offers. The intentions of founder Ilona Glastonbury make us again recognise the power of taking a position in retail and sharing a story proudly... even if it seems extreme to some - it is respected by others. - If everyone were to draw a circle 100 miles from where they lived, and only bought things grown and made within it, there would be a shift towards conscious consumption and decisions around how money is spent would become more carefully considered. Old artisan skills would be embraced, people would take greater care with the soil and water, and items would be made to last and be looked after. #thoughtfulgifts #retailwithadifference
