18.01.2022 It was great to visit the Morning Peninsula last week to help judge the Dr Alan Antcliff Vineyard of the Year award along with fellow viticulturists Mark Walpole and John Whiting. A holistic approach is increasingly being taken by many growers. There is a strong focus on soil health with may vineyards producing their own compost for spreading under vine and compost tea preparations for spraying on vine canopies. Insectary plants are commonly incorporat...ed as supplementary flora to support populations of good bugs . There was a growing appreciation for nature and the interconnectedness of each of these elements. 10.01.2022 Hello! You may have heard that I have been announced as a Finalist for the 2020 Winnovation (Women in Innovation) Awards! The awards recognise, celebrate and elevate women doing innovative things in their line of work, and I am absolutely thrilled to be have been voted from a record number of entries into the top three finalists for the category of Rural, Regional and Remote.... This year, COVID-19 has forced the Winnovation Awards Event Committee to change the way the event will run, and this also impacts the way friends, family and colleagues (like you) will be able to support me for the Awards Ceremony, Thursday 19 November 2020. After the biggest event yet at the 2019 Winnovation Awards Ceremony, this year’s Awards Ceremony will be an in-person presentation ceremony for finalists and VIP, but excitingly, there is the opportunity for friends, family and supporters to join in online! As a valued supporter of my work and this award recognition, I would love for you to register to watch the 2020 Winnovation Awards online, from 5.30pm 8pm (formal ceremony 6pm-7pm if you’re pressed for time) on Thursday 19 November. To register for the webinar link, please click here https://events.humanitix.com/winnovation-awards-watch-party.
