17.01.2022 A group of Wahroonga retirees are up for the fight in what they call a 'David vs. Goliath' battle with Suncorp Metway Ltd over their half-built retirement village. Read the story here: http://bit.ly/17GZz3L HAVE YOU EVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH A DEVELOPER? IF SO, HOW WAS IT RESOLVED?

16.01.2022 It is with great sadness to report the passing of the former NSW, RSL State President, Rusty Priest. Rusty was dedicated to remembering servicemen and women who... have served Australia, in particular Second World War Veterans and even more so those who served during the Kokoda Campaign. Rusty was instrumental in the development of the Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway in Concord NSW. David Howell, founder of Kokoda Historical, first met Rusty while volunteering as a guide at the Walkway. David travelled with Rusty and other Second World War Veterans, to Kokoda in 2005 and will forever remember the camaraderie experienced at the Walkway and on the memorable pilgrimage made to Kokoda all of which could not have taken place without the vision of Rusty. Lest We Forget

04.01.2022 The sequel to the story below is that in spite of trying to negotiate with SunCorp, the residents at Woniora have been treated with disdain, and have met with intimidation tactics. They now intend to mobilise the population of NSW Retirement Villages and their families with a campaign pointing out just how older people are treated by some big companies such as SunCorp Metway. Watch this Facebook page for more information.
