23.01.2022 A deal on an accommodation website might look good, until you find out that to accommodate your family the deal will end up costing you a fortune. Well, at The Retreat, big doesn’t necessarily equal expensive. Our Two Bedroom French Provincial Apartment offers king and queen bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and dining area with gas log fire and more, with a price tag of $260 per night for 2 people or $380 for 4, including a bottle of sparkling and provisions for a cooked breakfast. 23.01.2022 If you think a classic Pontiac runs rings around a new SUV, then the Power of the Past is an event not to be missed. As well as classic cars, the event, now in its 35th year, will feature tractors, trucks, motorcycles and more from yesteryear. It’s one of the largest shows of its type in South Australia. Craft, food stalls and children’s activities are also featured. The event will take place on 7th and 8th March between 9am and 5pm in Mount Barker.

21.01.2022 Did you know there’s a performing arts centre only five minutes from The Retreat? Set in the historic 1884 Stirling Institute building, the Stirling Community Theatre is home to the Stirling Players, the Hills Musical Company and the Hills Youth Theatre. With at least six productions a year at the Theatre, you can stay at The Retreat and catch up on culture practically any time of the year.

16.01.2022 While the Adelaide Hills is generally cooler than the nearby city (Adelaide’s wealthy built summer houses in Stirling in the 1800s to escape the heat) it can still get quite hot this time of the year. So cool off with a stay at The Retreat and our stunning swimming pool. Laze around in the water, drink some bubbly poolside, swim a few laps or simply dip your feet in the water to cool off. You might even care to join in aqua-aerobic classes on weekday mornings for free! Note: The pool is available for guest use weekday evenings and any time on the weekend.
