Keep your pelvis straight/aligned as possible When getting in and out of the car, step out w...ith one leg then swivel your body to face outside the car and step out keeping your pelvis straight as possible When sleeping in a side lying position make sure your legs are stacked on top of each other with a pillow between your legs After any exercise check in with your body to see how it feels, usually within 24hrs you’ll know if you have done something that wasn’t right for your body Remember you have relaxin in your body and your movements when doing exercises should be upto 70% of what it was before you were pregnant Pose of the child & Cat/cow yoga postures are great to do to help with mid/lower back pain but make sure you keep your back flat when in ‘cow’ position & allow enough space for your belly by widening your legs slightly& using a cushion under your knees If you have any questions please feel free to contact me Marisa

12.01.2022 This week is PANDA awareness week & I though I would share the stats with you. It breaks my heart to know some many Mums & Dads suffer :( especially suffering in silence. Please don’t be afraid to share & get support for what you are feeling because you are helping yourself, your family and many others in the process. We all need support now and again & I know first hand how important it is to seek support & not soldier on suffering. Did you know that around one in ten dads ...experience a mental illness in their journey to becoming a dad? So it’s actually really common to have difficult feelings about everything related to becoming a dad. One in five mums will experience perinatal anxiety and / or depression. We also know that a significant number of non birth parents experience similar rates of mental illess. Left untreated, these illnesses can have long-lasting impacts on parents, partners, baby and the rest of the family. The key to getting help is being able to recognise that something is wrong and being brave enough to ask for help to ‘tell someone who cares’. That might be talking to your partner, child and family health nurse, doctor or PANDA’s National Helpline.
