16.01.2022 Team #RetroMotoRacing off for some weekend shenanigans on a non-race weekend for once - spanners down, an assortment of road bikes out, off to the great South Western Australia for the weekend. With everything going on globally, we've gotta take a second to appreciate how very very luck we are here in Western Australia at the moment, hope our followers are able to get out for a ride and are staying safe. Shiny side up folks, ride safe, have fun!

16.01.2022 Some new Avon Tyres sidecar racing rubber boots for the Angry Ranga Racing sidecar to tear into this weekend at Collie Motorplex with Historic Competition Motorcycle Club (HCMC) WA.

15.01.2022 Bit of bling for our riders to bring home from the weekend, good job fellas! Thanks to the organisers and crew as always for making it possible - no flaggies, no fun! That's it for 2020 race season, which doesn't mean the action stops. There are some tuning sessions and possibly another standalone race or two in between, but end of race season just means a little more time to pick up the spanners and get ready for next season!!

05.01.2022 CB500 update. - Engine rebuilds - machining issues - handling improvements... Well after a few months of backward steps we are now charging ahead. While stripping the engine down after finding the chain tensioner issue we noticed a couple of the sleeves had sunk a few thou so it was off to the machinist to mill the barrels. While that was happening we started assembling the bottom end with new parts where required. Upon fitting the newly machined barrels we realised that they were a few thou out of parallel and needed to be re-machined . We took this time to port the head and order new copper gaskets so the time wasn’t wasted. We managed to get the bike on track for the Saturday tuning day of the last race round. In doing so we seem to have sorted out some shuddering under braking which looks to have been caused by head angle and a warped disc. On the engine front we were having some issues with fuelling which was affecting the bike in the mid range. Stay tuned for a dyno post next week leading upto state champs next weekend.

05.01.2022 Racing off-season just means more time in the shop building up our own and our customers race bikes - this RGV recently got a big rework and should be exciting to see it's performance in the upcoming season! Lots of potential there

02.01.2022 Race Report!! HCMC WA Round 2 Well, we all survived and came home happy with the results - which is pretty good really. There was slapstick and drama and mechanical gremlins too, but records were broken, Classes were won - all in all a successful weekend. Mike’s track debut on his newly acquired and rebuilt P4 CB750 was one the of highlights of Saturday’s practice. Paul Smith took the bike out for a shakedown session which quickly became a wipe down session when the rear of ...Continue reading
