14.01.2022 Aqua Beauty 95 years old! This little beauty (my personal favourite of the stoves we have) was manufactured around 1924 by the French company called S. Demoulin. They were available in any colour according the 1924 catalogue (link below see page 22). It is made of strong steel which makes it very solid but at the same time light. It has a sliding door at the front and an ash tray at the bottom. It stands 80cm tall and is 30cm at its widest point. This burner is in original ...condition, so has some patina, some crazing of enamel, but I think it adds to the charm of this unusual piece. It is designed to burn coal, and still could do. We are investigating options for an eco friendly ethanol burner that could be used instead, as it is a clean burning fuel that is made from waste products. Plus it doesn’t require the installation of a chimney/flue so means the stove could be used anywhere. Watch this space....... This is an extremely rare stove, even in France.
