16.01.2022 The Isuzu bellet is finally finished and tuned, 139 hp, not bad for an old G180 DOHC. We are running the FAJS weber copy carburetors on this, we had heard about people having trouble tuning them, with them always being rich. After some experimentation we have found the fixes for these problems and so far so good.

13.01.2022 Hi everyone, welcome to a new year, I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe xmas and new years. I have good news and bad news, the good news is Retrotech is still here and will continue to be so for sometime, however the bad news is due to health reasons I'm going to have to slow things down work load wise. Unfortunately the business just hasn't been able to reach a point where I can afford to pay someone to do the work for me and I can no longer physically do the work load ...I used to be able to. I will be doing most small jobs from home and in some cases I may able to do some jobs mobile. Exhaust work will still be done at the workshop but strictly by booking only. I will still be doing carburetors and dyno tuning, which will also be by appointment only. Thanks everyone for your past and continued support, and I hope everyone has a fantastic year. See more

05.01.2022 ETHANOL BEWARE! Not everyone will know that recently the QLD government has implemented new laws requiring all fuels to be E10, unfortunately this has not been a well thought out government plan and has the potential to be as disastrous as the insulation debacle. Many older cars may still contain non ethanol compatible hose. Its worth getting your car checked because it could result in your vehicle being burnt to the ground or worse personal injury to yourself or others. Below is a fuel hose removed from an R32 skyline, the hose has perished because of E10 fuel, this is what it does to rubber hose that is not compatible, PLEASE GET YOUR VEHICLE'S CHECKED! And hoses replaced if in doubt, dont risk it, stay safe everyone and have great weekend
