24.01.2022 Now for the Good News and the not so Good News, The NBN is scheduled to start construction in Feb 16, parts of Cooloongup, East Rockingham, Hillman, Peron, Rockingham, Safety Bay, Shoalwater and Waikiki are to be connected. Now the not so good news, Maximum speeds achieved in testing are around 46mbps, but on the old dated copper it is more likely to be around the 20mbps speed. For some people this will be an improvement, but it is far from the speeds of Fibre, but I suppose the Liberals think most of us will be happy with this. Personally, I would rather wait a little longer and get the worlds best than waste money on something that is marginally better, but that is my personal opinion.

09.01.2022 Great news, NBN have announced that the areas of Baldivis that don't already have NBN will be getting Fibre-to-the-Curb (FTTC), which means an easy upgrade to Full Fibre, if the customer wishes. Compared to Fibre to the Node that requires a new cable back to the exchange.
