21.01.2022 Recently I worked with Gerard from Velvet Couch Clothing to initially redesign his logo for the established and well loved street-wear brand in Brisbane, VC Clothing. I had this idea of taking hand signs often used by unsavory elements and re-purposing them for use with VC, flashing them at events, in photo shoots, product shots and after runs at competitions wearing the merch. For promotional purposes and to create a wider sense of brand cohesion even without wearing the c...lothes. VC Clothing has a loyal fan-base and appreciates grit and the idea of "sending it". We explored a few different directions but in the end Gerard decided that he preferred the work I had done as a T-Shirt Design instead of the logo for his entire brand. The shirts are out now and by all accounts seem to have gone down quite nicely with the customer base. I was really excited to work with VC Clothing as personally I wear them and have a connection through rollerblading. Thanks Gerard for working with me mate!
